Beca's POV
It's your final year at Barden University and things have gone really well for you. The Barden Bellas have won the ICCA Championships three years in a row and you couldn't be prouder. The Bellas thank you since you're such a good captain but you know that they should really thank Chloe. Chloe has been absolutely amazing and you know that you couldn't have done it without her. Chloe is the most amazing person you have ever met and you don't know what you'd do without her. Ever since Chloe confessed her feelings for you three years ago, you two have been inseparable. You still think that Chloe is the most beautiful woman in the world and you absolutely adore her. Over the years, you saw how self-conscious she was about her scars but you helped her overcome that.
You don't notice Chloe's scars if you're honest. You do see them but you look past them. They don't bother you and they never have bothered you. They don't affect who Chloe is as a person and they certainly don't make her unattractive. When you first got together, Chloe confided in you, telling you how awful Tom was to her and how hurt she was when he left her after her accident. Hearing the story made your blood boil and you just wanted to hunt Tom down and kill him. You saw him on campus a couple of times and it took everything in you not to launch yourself and him and beat him until he was black and blue. You may only be short but you use to take boxing lessons in high school and you still train every now and then so you know that you haven't lost your touch.
You'll never forget the time you were out with Chloe on a date and some stuck-up girls made snarky remarks about Chloe. It still pisses you off to this day...

Two years ago...
"I don't even know why she tries with some of the clothes she wears," one girl says.
"I know, right? It's, like, just cover up, will you? We don't want to see that," says another.
Chloe plays with the napkin in front of her as you have your arm around her. You both are sharing a booth and your date was going so well until they came along.
"Don't listen, baby," you whisper, kissing Chloe's head.
"It's okay," she shrugs it off but you can tell that it's bothering her.
"I honestly couldn't live like that. I mean, how gross. It's no wonder Tom left her. Who would even want to touch her?" The first girl speaks again.
"Exactly! I'd be scared that her skin would fall off and infect me or something!"
"Yuck!"
"Tom said that she looks like a burnt pizza but smells like a carcass."
The girls laugh and it takes everything in you not to leap over your seat and strangle each one of them with their own hair. But before you can even do anything, Chloe gets up and rushes out of the diner in tears.
"Chloe!" You call out but she's gone and that's when you lose it.
You stand up and turn to the girls on the table and you kick it, spilling their complimentary water all over them.
"Hey!" One girl frowns.
"How fucking DARE you! Do you have any idea how fucking low you all are? You're all pieces of shit! All of you! You have no idea who Chloe is and you judge her on the way that she looks! You're all just insecure, plastic, fake sluts who can't tell what a real woman is. Chloe is more beautiful than all of you put together and she doesn't even need to try! Chloe is smart, funny, intelligent, talented, and has got the biggest heart in the world! You wouldn't know what to do with someone so real as her. She's the most amazing person I have ever met and I love her! So fuck you, guys!"
