Chloe Beale had the biggest crush on her music professor Beca Mitchell. Chloe adored Beca. The woman was short, had long, brown hair, a stern face, dark, blue eyes, and a beautiful smile. Chloe was smitten with her and to make matters better, Beca was only a few years older than Chloe. Beca was just finishing up her doctorate degree so she was in her late twenties. Chloe loved music but she loved it, even more, when Beca became her teacher so much so that Chloe was even contemplating failing Russian literature to keep being Beca's student. Beca was the most beautiful woman Chloe had ever seen and the redhead wanted nothing more than to get with her professor.

"Chloe? Chloe!"

"Huh?" Chloe snapped out of her daze when Aubrey practically shouted at her.

"Are you even listening to me?"

"What? Of course, I am!"

"Oh, really? Then what did I just say?"

"Umm... You said... Ah..."

"Oh my gosh, would you PLEASE stop daydreaming about our music professor? I seriously don't understand why you like her so much. She's so sarcastic. I'm surprised they let her teach..."

"Oh, Bree, she's so hot and cute and funny and just... amazing... That leather jacket she wears along with her dark eyeliner is so badass and SO hot." Chloe bit her lip as she continued to think about her professor.

"Chloe, you can't date your professor."

"I can so!"

Aubrey sighed. "Okay, you can but it's just wrong. It's best not to do it. I'm not even sure if Barden allows it."

"We're both adults, Aubrey. It's not like we're in high school."

"No, but it's still frowned upon. The professor is in a position of power and authority."

"It's not like she's forcing me, Bree."

"I'm not saying that. I'm just saying that it's frowned upon and I don't think Barden allows professors to date their students. It's still frowned upon if they date once they've graduated."

"We're both adults and we can do what we want and I want to date her. She's perfect."

"I just don't want to see you get hurt that's all. Do you even know if she's single and more so, into women?"

"She's single. She's not wearing a ring, she hasn't hinted that she's with anybody, and her Facebook profile says that she's single."

"Maybe she leads a very private life."

"Possibly but she's single. I can always tell when someone is taken or not and she is on the market."

"Okay, let's say that she's is single and that she's into women - are you just going to ask her out?"

"I just might."

"Chloe, you don't even know if she's into women let alone her students!"

"On the contrary, Bree, I've seen how she looks at me. I've caught her a number of times staring at me and quickly looking away when I catch her out."

"I still don't think it's a good idea, Chlo. At least find out the policies around student and professor relationships before you do anything."

"Fine," she huffed.

"Good morning, class!" Professor Mitchell walked into the room with a stack of paper in her hands.

Chloe's eyes lit up at the sight of the brunette and her heart started to hammer in her chest.
