It had been three weeks since Beca and Chloe got separated. Beca had no idea what was going on until Chloe told Stacie who then told Beca. Beca was heartbroken and knew how upset Chloe would have been but unfortunately, Richard had told the school that Beca and Chloe were to be separated at all times so they weren't even allowed to hang out during recess or lunch. Chloe was removed from all classes she had with Beca so they were completely isolated. Chloe hated her father for what he did. All she wanted to do was run away with Beca and never look back. Chloe was angry at herself because all she had to do was make it to college then she would be out of her home and would be able to be with Beca without worry and she couldn't even do that.

Even though Beca and Chloe weren't allowed to see each other, the couple managed to figure out a way where they could meet up but only for a few minutes. When Stacie was with Beca during class and Aubrey was with Chloe or vice versa, they would text each other to let them know whenever Beca or Chloe would go to the bathroom so the other would leave at the same time and meet at the same bathroom and it worked. It was risky but it worked.

Chloe anxiously waited in the bathroom for Beca who was hurrying to get to Chloe. Chloe paced back and forth then spun around when Beca burst through the door. Chloe ran towards the brunette, flinging her arms around the girl and kissing her.

"Sorry... I'm late... This kid kept... asking... questions..." Beca explained between kisses.

"It's okay... You're here now."

The two kept kissing for a few more moments before pulling away.

"You look so tired, babe," Beca stated.

Chloe did - she looked exhausted. Her eyes were red, she had bags under them, and she looked rather pale. She didn't look like the Chloe Beca knew and loved.

"I just hate this," said Chloe.

"I know, baby. I do, too."

"I hate my dad. I hate what he's done. I hate how he doesn't understand. I hate it all. I just want us to run away together," Chloe sniffed, trying to hold back her tears.

"That sounds like heaven, baby but we can't. We have to wait until we get to college."

"Like my dad is going to let me go to college with you," she scoffed.

"We just won't tell him."

"Wait... so you ARE going to go to college?"

"Yeah," she nodded. "I've been thinking about it and I think it'll be good if I go plus, we can be together. We just won't tell your dad. He can't keep us apart forever, Chlo."

Chloe rested her head against Beca's. "I hate being away from you..."

"I hate it, too, baby. I'm so sorry..."

"It's not your fault, Becs,"

"It's still a shitty thing that's happened, Chlo. I promised to protect you and look after you and now look at what's happened."

"I promised to protect you and look after you, too... I feel so shit about myself..."

"Hey," Beca tilted Chloe's head so they were looking at each other. "This isn't your fault, babe. This is all on your dad. He's the one who doesn't agree and he's the one keeping us apart - not you."

Chloe nodded. "I love you."

"I love you, too, baby."

The couple shared a tender kiss before Beca's phone chimed.

Stacie: Come back. You've been gone too long.

Beca: On my way.

"I've gotta get back now," Beca sighed, agitated.
