"Becs, your dad will kill me if he knows this is happening," Jesse spoke as Beca kissed him.
"I know, exciting right?"
"No, not really. You're a woman who is married to another woman whose dad is one of the most powerful businessmen in the state and across other states."
"I'm only kidding," Beca slapped his arm. "You know I won't let anyone hurt you, right?"
Jesse smiled at the brunette. "I know, little one," he ruffled her hair.
"Piss off," she punched his arm and he merely laughed. "Ah, shit, is that the time?" Beca sighed, looking at her phone. "I better go. Chloe will be wondering where I am. The last thing I need is her asking questions. Her dad still checks in with her, you know? Asking how our "marriage" is going."
"Really? After three months?"
"Yep. I think he'll keep checking in after a year! Hopefully, we're not together by then but in saying that, Chloe's not budging. She's so damn clingy and she wants to do all of this couple shit... ugh, not my style."
"Becs, we do couple shit all the time."
"Yeah, but that's different."
"Of course, because it's normal to do couple shit with your boyfriend but not with your wife." A small laugh was hinting on Jesse's lips and Beca wanted to smack it right off.
"Oh, shut up, you dick. This situation gets more and more fucked as the days go by and you know it. Chloe's living in a dream world - a dystopia and she knows it but she's still in the denial stage. She'll wake up eventually."
"I don't know, Becs, I've seen her with you and she's pretty smitten..."
Beca frowned at her boyfriend. "Are you wanting me and Chloe to get together even though we already are together but not together at the same time when we're together?"
"I'm just joking," he chuckled. "I'm just as upset about this arrangement as you are. I know you don't like Chloe let alone love her but it's amusing from time to time to see how she acts with you."
"You really need to be more careful when you're coming to pick me up. She almost saw you the other day. As soon as she sees you, she'll tell her dad and he'll come down on us hard... that's if my parents don't get to us first... God, this situation really is fucked."
"Hey, I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry about it. As you said, Chloe is living in a fantasy world and it's only a matter of time before she wakes up from it. Now, come on, let's get you home. We don't want your wife to be asking you unwanted questions..."
"I swear to God, if you laugh or make some punny-ass joke..."
Jesse feigned offense and replied, "Who? Me? Never!"

"Chloe, I'm home!" Beca called out as she walked through the door of her house - a house that she owned with Chloe.
Even though Beca had no choice in picking the house, just like she had no choice with most things in their "marriage", the house wasn't too bad. It was two stories high, modern, in a nice neighbourhood, and had a beautiful garden out the back and a lot of space for dogs Chloe wanted to buy. The woman loved animals, especially dogs but Beca, on the other hand, did not. She had no time for such things but again, she had no choice and had to fake it until she made it. Her parents would be spending the rest of their lives making it up to their daughter, Beca would have made sure of it.
"Becs!" Chloe beamed from around the corner, rushing over to her wife, giving her a kiss and a cuddle that the brunette was reluctant to accept. "I missed you today. You were out late. What took you so long?"
