Lisa checked her phone first before answering Jungkook's video call. It was the morning after Jisoo's birthday, and she was still amidst the momentum of all the fun they had.
"Hey." She smiled at him.
Her head was aching, yet she still tried to talk to him. "Are you okay?" Jungkook asked in English, causing Lisa's eyes to automatically widen.
"Woah, what a good start," Lisa praised him, and Jungkook ignored it, carefully observing her.
"Don't try to change the topic. You don't look too good," Jungkook still said in English. Though his pronunciation was a bit off, Lisa was proud of him for contracting a proper sentence without any errors.
She surmised that they were a step closer for him to learn English completely. "Stop looking at me like that, doll. Tell me, are you okay? Do you what me to send some medicine over there?" he then spoke back in Korean.
Surprisingly, they were okay. They were the type that doesn't necessarily apologise. If you're the first one to talk to the other, that means you're the one who's saying sorry first. They were that type of people. Not unless a spoken apology was highly needed, of course.
"Shall we proceed to the lesson?" Lisa asked.
"I told you to stop changing the topic," Jungkook fumed. "You look sick. I want you to hang up, tell this to the girls, and rest."
"But Jungkook--" I still want to talk to you.
"Your health is more important, Pranpriya."
That moment, she knew that he was dead serious. She noticed that he only calls her Pranpriya whenever he's mad, extremely worried or very serious.
"I'm going to hang up instead. I'm sorry, I really can't visit you right now. We're heading to the airport, but I promise to make it up to you when we're back."
"You don't need to make it up to me, Jungkook." I'm just happy that we're okay.
"I want to, doll. And I want you to be completely healthy when we get back cause I'm going to teach you some sports," he told her, causing her to grow excited. "You're internally squealing aren't you?"
Lisa didn't utter a word, finding it odd on how he knew. Jungkook chuckled. "Get some rest. I mean it. Get your unnies to take care of you."
