5 days before GDA 2019
Bangkok, Thailand

(by the way, I know that GDA 2019
was on January 5, 2019. But for
the sake of this story, I decided to
change it to January 15. I hope
y'all would understand. Thank you!)

“Okay, mommy. Say ah.” Lisa also opened her mouth for her mom to copy her.

Mrs. Manoban winced in pain, not being able to fully open her mouth due to the pain caused by her accident.

Two days after Jisoo's birthday, Lisa immediately flew to Thailand for her sick mother. Her mother was confined, and so she promised to stay by her side just until before the Golden Disk Awards.

Breaking up with Jungkook was torture enough, but also seeing her own mother lying in her hospital bed was just heartbreaking.

Lisa sighed seeing her mother unable to eat well. However, her mother told her that shw wants to eat later. With a faint smile, Lisa obeyed her.

“Where's that Kookoo boy?” Lisa's mom asked.

Lisa lowly chuckled, stroking her mom's hair. “It's Kookie, mom,” she politely corrected. “I think you won't be able to see him for a while.”

“Huh? And why is that?” Her mom pouted. “I like him for you.”

“Really?” Lisa forced a smile. “I do, too, mom. A lot.”

“My Lisa has a crush!” her mom said in a giddy manner. Her alzheimer's disease was attacking once again, and she forgot all about how Jungkook was already her boyfriend — err, her ex rather.

Lisa continued stroking her mom's hair, still forcing a smile. “A big crush, I guess?” Lisa shrugged, somehow being honest with her mom.

“I really like him for you. He takes care of you very well, and it's obvious on how he loves you.”

“He does, doesn't he?” Lisa giggled. “He loves me too much, that he forgot to love himself. And that goes the same for me.”

Lisa tapped her finger onto her lap, which her mom quickly noticed.

“You're still not wearing your ring? You told me that you'll wear it again soon.”
