Chapter Sixty-Six: Are you angry at us for bringing you to this boring ride?

Connor's green eyes lingered on mine, sending electric shocks through my whole body. I felt uneasy being too near to him, at the same time, I wished I were nearer.

He decided to drive despite the presence of multiple drivers volunteering to drive us. Christian rode shotgun while Calvin and I were behind.

We were both quiet, but Calvin and Christian were having a brotherly argument about the better Pokemon. I was only staring at the outside world, but I could feel Connor sneaking glances at me.

The moment we arrived, Calvin and Christian enthusiastically headed to the direction of booths. I asked them what their agenda should be and they showed me a list of to-do activities to be completed to have a perfect grade of a bonus activity.

I was happy that while the to do list wasn't compulsory, the two of them wanted to finish everything in order to get additional points by doing fun things.

There were ten things in the list. We were currently at the entrance and the two activities needed to do were: (1) Take a picture with the school's mascot (2) Take a picture with the school sign and upload it on social media with the hashtag #WinterIsComing. Wow, Game of Thrones much?

The whole school was designed like a winter festival, with different booths and rides for everyone of all ages. There were numerous children running around, playing with fake snowballs. While the adults were talking to each other.

We finished the first two requirements with a breeze, with Connor taking multiple shots of Christian and Connor. The four of us strolled the activity booths together but only Calvin and Christian were talking. Sometimes Connor would talk to them when a topic interest him, but usually, it's the two of them.

We were already done with 6 out of the 10 activities and it's not even 1 yet because we finished those that did not need to fall in line to wait for our turn. With the first two being pictures, next two playing with fake snow and water fountain (stamped by the moderator as a sign we visited), and the last two as registering the ticket number for a 20% discount on a souvenir store and buying a souvenir. Calvin and Christian each bought a keychain and a shirt.

When we left the souvenir store, Connor tapped on my shoulder. I turned to face him having a stoic face, but he grabbed my hand and placed a keychain on top of my palm. His fingers staying seconds longer as he gently pushed my fingers, in order for me to ball up my hand with the keychain. I stared at him, dumbfounded, wondering what he was thinking but he just shrugged and walked away.

The next one listed was to buy food, so we decided to eat early lunch. There were numerous food booths and stalls, so we decided to eat at one of them. Tables and chairs were distributed outside booths.

We ordered nachos, burgers, and fries. It was pretty awkward for the both of us whenever Christian and Calvin were focusing on their own conversation. Sometimes I would try to dip the fries on the ranch in order to prevent eye contact with Connor. Luckily, the weather was cold, so no sweat! But Calvin, as the noisier one would ask several questions to Connor and I, completely clueless.

After eating, we went around for strolls and decided to do the next activity: to select one of the rides. Since the two were eager to finish, we went around to spot the ride with the shortest line of people. Upon arriving at a small enclosed space, we realized we arrived at the Lovers' Lane.

Calvin and Christian immediately regret it, but just went on with it instead when the person guarding the Lovers' Lane was a sweet high school student who welcomed us with a warm smile.

"Hello! You can ride this for free! This ride is sponsored, so you'll see advertisements from time to time. Are you completing the stamps?" She ruffled Calvin and Christian's hair, which made it harder for us to say no. "I hope you'll ride because ours has the least foot traffic. We're hitting quotas."
