Chapter Sixteen

          Ahmad's heart started beating on seeing the doctor approaching them,he started having cold sweats,he stood up all worried and rushed to the doctor,All the family followed him behind when they realized that it was the doctor that received Ayman, the doctor was walking very fast and at the same time walking majestically and was wearing a serious face full of worry,he was flying his white lab coat,his stethoscope on the neck and was holding a file on his hand. He was approaching them and they were all eager to hear what it was but the doctor stopped on seeing them and said; I'm sorry it's not you people I'm attending to,I'm going for an operation right now and about the patient I operated recently he's still unconscious, there's no progress but he's still alive, we're trying our possible best and we'll keep trying in order to help him regain consciousness,if there isn't any progress from now till the next two days he'll be transferred to the national hospital Abuja, thank you.

They all stared at the doctor till he was outta sight,Ummu and Mummy bursted out crying helplessly along with Amaani,Amal and Laila while Abbu and Daddy stood strong and each comforted their wives.

4:00am
Daddy interrupted and said; Ahmad you should go home and rest,you can come back in the morning, thank you. Aisha you should go home too with Laila and Amal, Alhaji Khaleed go home too with your family,you can come back later, thank you very much,may our bond be strong forever,they thanked him and promised to come back in the morning,they prayed for Ayman's quick recovery.

On the way,Abbu reminded Amaan that he'd be leaving for London in a couple of days, Amaan said that he's still aware but his mind would be separated,he won't be able to concentrate when he's away,he'd be thinking of Ayman's health, Abbu said that he knew right,he has been thinking of changing Amaan's ticket but it's too late,so he should just go, Allah has planned everything. Ummu interrupted and said; Ayman might regain consciousness on the day you'd be leaving,it's all possible,Allah is the best planner.

In the morning......

Mummy called Daddy to ask for the patient's health, he told her that he's still in the same condition as they left, Mummy sighed and said; Ohh Allah!! Make Ayman recover soon.

Ummu called Mummy and asked her of  Ayman's health, Mummy told her that thesame thing Daddy told her and Ummu sighed and prayed to Allah for Ayman's health.

The Khaleed's have all finished everything and all got set to go to the hospital and on the other side Mummy too and her family too have gotten ready to go too,she packed some food in basket for some visitors to eat,a carton of bottled water and other things that would be needed.

At the hospital.....

All the two families were sitting in the waiting area silently, they've stopped crying now, everyone was present except Ahmad, Amaani has been checking her phone to see Ahmad's text or call but there isn't. Suddenly,she saw him leading some people behind him inside the hospital to where her family were sitting,she guessed it was his parents,she looked away and started playing with her phone along with her fingers. Ahmad came to where they were sitting and greeted them respectfully,they answered politely and thanked him once more for his hard work. He introduced the people behind him who were smiling as his parents,his parents and the family exchanged warm greetings among themselves,they asked the patient's family about the patient's health and they answered Alhamdulillah. Amaani greeted Ahmad's Dad and Mom and they answered her kindly with a smile on each of their faces, Ahmad's Dad said to them; I guess this is my beautiful in-law,as I can see she is very decent,shy,modest, beautiful and calm which are the features a decent Hausa girl could have,i can't wait for the time Ahmad  would bring her home as a wife,God bless you Amaani, continue to be a good girl  huh? Amaani looked down and at that moment she wished the ground could open and swallow her up because of shyness, they all laughed and chorused Ameen but only Ahmad's mother that smiled a forcing smile,Ummu and Mummy noticed her facial expression, Ahmad's Mum has been looking at Amaani in a way full of disrespect and hatred,but smiled out of hypocrisy anytime her gaze met with Ummu and Mummy. Ahmad went to the doctor without anybody's concent and ask him if all the family would be allowed to see Ayman please,the doctor said; ICU is a place where the patient is at rest, people are not allowed to see the patient but only the doctors and nurses,it's a place where the patient is under special care and monitoring but for one reason I'd allow you and your family to go in and see him because among your family there's a girl I noticed that can't  control herself since the  accident happened,she always cry and always worried and anytime she sees me she always feel like talking to me but it's like she's afraid of me or something,she really wanna askel me something about the patient and under one condition, nobody should talk or cry,you all have to be silent,okay? Ahmad happily answered; yes yes doctor, thank you very much but we don't know where the room is,the doctor told Ahmad to go and inform his family first before he sends a nurse to lead them to the patient's room.

Ahmad walked happily to where they were all sitting, everyone noticed the happiness on his face and were all desperate to listen to the good news,his mum eyed him and mumbled to herself; this boy is overacting,he's madly in love,I know how to stop him,if he doesn't stop I will stop him by force,she bulged out her eyes and bit her lips angrily. Ahmad said to them in a gentle way that they are permitted to go and see the patient,he told them the doctor's reason and conditions, Ahmad's Mum nodded her head and said; I guess we are allowed because of that evil girl over there,I pray the patient recovers and love her,maybe he was thinking about her when the accident happened,I don't want her to be in my family,she'll surely destroy our family's bond,all this shyness and everything she is showing is because she wants to win our hearts,you can win their hearts with your evil acts but not mine, I'd rather destroy you if you dare marry or continue to love my son.

The family all stood up happily and the nurse led their way to the room where Ayman was lying unconsciously,Ummu and Mummy cried silently and the others too cried silently excluding Abbu, Daddy,Ahmad's father and his evil wife. Amaani moved close and whispered; Ayman, please recover soon,I'm in pains,I can't sleep because of your thought,I think about you all the time, Ayman if there's a way that I'd make you regain consciousness I would,but there's no way better than praying for you right now,Ayman open your eyes and look at me,Ayman smile at me,Ayman remember our memories and conversations,it's your little princess here talking to you,Ayman Ayman.....she cried silently but full of pains, Daddy picked her up from the floor where she was lying and said; come here my daughter, Ayman would be Okay inshaALLAH. Amal and Laila cried more on seeing Amaani's mood,Ummu and Mummy too. Ahmad's Mum mumbled; the truth is out,those two are in love,I guess the stupid boy Ahmad has noticed his evil girlfriend,she hissed. Alhaji Sadik ( Ahmad's father ) too pitied Amaani and comforted her too. They finally went out of the room to the waiting area, Ahmad's parents said Goodbye to everyone and left.

Everyone went out to pray..........

Hello lovelies,hope you're good? The chapter is somehow short I think😊

How was the chapter? Ahmad's mother doesn't like Amaani which is bad but his Dad likes her, Amaani didn't noticed Ahmad's mum's behavior but her Mum and Aunty noticed her,do you think Ummu would talk about it to Amaani? Anyway we shall all see what will happen.

Amaani is really worried about Ayman's health,could this be the start of Ahmad and Amaani's fight in the relationship??

Amaan would be leaving for London tomorrow and his best cousin hasn't recover yet😭😭 may he recover soon 🙏Ameen.
