Chapter Thirty Five

The looks on the Hamids could tell you their answers before they said it,so it left the Sadiks perplexed because they didn't expect that!!! Mr Hamid got ready to talk when he heard a voice from the staircase saying; It is destined to be so let it be,don't jump into the conclusions that will leave your daughter in trouble and worry, everyone turned in surprise and saw Ihsan coming down the stairs majestically and also smile-smirking.

Ihsan's father reached to where his daughter is and raised his hand up in order to give her a dirty slap but before he landed his palms on her face, something held his hand midway and it's no other person but Alhaji sadik who was very shocked over Ihsan's father's action,he comforted him and took him back to his seat.

Alhaji Hamid was boiling hot and his wife also was both hurt and embarrassed at the same time,so she kept quiet and didn't utter a word to Ihsan but she kept giving her a dead and fierce glare which made Ihsan lose mind and her parents lost cool and lost face,she embarrassed them. The Sadiks continued comforting the Hamids till they were back to normal.

Alhaji Hamid turned to Ihsan and said in a low voice full of disgrace; Ihsan you have indeed made me lose face,you made me frustrated,you embarrassed me and your family in general in the presence of your in-laws to be, Ihsan you ain't like that before,what changed you suddenly? Why the sudden change of character?? Have you forgotten that you're very close to getting married? Here are your in-laws to be who came to talk about your marriage and also ask your hand in marriage on behalf of the of their son,are you tryna be a person who is hard to deal with?? Ihsan why? I didn't raise you this way,you should change this new character before getting married, before joining a new family and starting a new life! And why do you have to eavesdrop on our conversation?
Ihsan in her mind has been apologizing and saying; Daddy I wasn't eavesdropping,I was coming down to pick my charger when I heard it,I was happy that I can't control it anymore,so I had to say that which led to your anger but I'm sorry Daddy,I never thought it'd be this hot.

Ihsan's father was done and Ihsan apologized faithfully to her Dad and her Mum who heard everything and was still giving her the dead and fierce glare, Ihsan also told them the reason why they think she was eavesdropping and told them why she couldn't hold the happiness but answered something that doesn't concern her which led to a short time damage,her parents accepted her apology and warned her not to repeat it again,they also ordered her to go apologize to her in-laws to be and she did so. Mama was smiling since when Ihsan bent down in order to apologise,what made Mama and Baba smiled the more was the way Ihsan was apologizing regretfully,from that they knew that it wasn't her habit,it was a mistake.

Mama said amidst laughter; Hajiya Salma,this girl is overjoyed that's why,so leave her to enjoy her happy moments and I know my daughter isn't like that and she won't repeat it again since it's not her habit. Mama said smilefully; come my daughter,come for a hug huh? She engulfed Ihsan in a warm hug full of love which made everyone bursted out laughing. After letting go of the hug, Ihsan knew the answer her parents are going to say from their facial expression which indicates happiness and positivity.

Ihsan's mum started talking,she looked at Ihsan and then averted her gaze to the rest and said since this girl has heard everything and without asking her, everyone knows the answer,on behalf of her that,I wish to inform you that Ahmad is permitted to come see Ihsan and we've agreed to join your family,I hope you'll be good in-laws and would take care of Ihsan not because she's my daughter but because that's how it should be as the saying goes; A child is for everyone! And indeed you have fulfilled a big promise,all we can say is thank you for your honesty.

Mama and Baba promised to treat Ihsan more like their own daughter.
They all stood up in order to go for asr prayer. After the asr prayer they all ate together before The Sadiks stood up to leave because their flight is 5:00pm,so they said goodbye to everyone and they were accompanied to the parking lot where the driver drove them off to the airport. On their way to the airport, Mama called Ahmad and informed him about everything,Ahmad smile-smirked and said in a low weak voice; what about Amaani?? I don't know what her family's reply would be,I'm worried about that but we'll continue praying for the best inshaALLAH. They talked about other things before they hang up.
