It was a beautiful morning, partly sunny and though hazy and windy, after praying subh, all the family got back to bed and continued sleeping. Larai was ordered to peel yam and Irish potatoes before Ummu wakes up.
The children were all deep asleep and were sleeping like logs because they didn't sleep early last night and were gisting non stop.
It was 10:00am, Ummu quickly took her bath and wore her clothes quickly, she left Abbu too sleeping tiredly in the room and quickly rushed to the kitchen. Larai has finished peeling the yam and potatoes and together with Ummu, they started frying the yam and potatoes and made sauce garnished with liver and veggies. Ummu warmed the chicken pepper soup and told Larai to go and arrange the table for breakfast. The food was set and Ummu came outta the kitchen and went straight to her room to wake Abbu up, she woke him in a romantic way with a feather, he opened his eyes knowing that it was Ummu, he smiled on looking at her and she smiled back at him an affectionate smile, she helped him stood up and led his way to the bathroom where she has arranged a hot water for him to take his bath. She turned to leave but Abbu held her hands and said "Why not help me take my bath?".
Ummu smirked and said "not when we're not alone in the house Abbu".
Abbu looked at her deep in the eyes and said "Okay then, we'll have to go on a short trip maybe to Abuja or Lagos just like Mummy and Daddy".
Ummu laughed and clapped her hands in a funny way and said "wow Abbu wow!! Just to take your bath?? Well it's my duty, I can't wait for the trip because it's gonna be lit and romantic".
Abbu smiled and let go of Ummu's wrist, he said "The trip would be great".
She left the room smiling and headed to the girls room, she didn't meet them there so she wondered where they could be, she heard some voices and laughter in the garden, so she quickly walked through the backdoor to the garden where she met all the children looking good and were all happily taking pictures, she was amazed to see her children happy and so, she walked to where they were sitting under the thatched roof in the garden and said "Hey lovelies".
They all turned around and saw Ummu standing, Laila hugged Ummu and the rest greeted her too. They were all looking good in their English wears and Ummu complimented on each of them and also asked "Why are you all sitting outside in this hazy and cold weather??".
Amaan in his deep, hot masculine voice said "Ummu we just feel like coming outside and look, we are all wearing sweaters, there's no need to worry, we ain't cold and we would want to have breakfast here".
Ummu frowned and didn't agreed to what Amaan said, she said "No" and left.
On seeing how angry Ummu is, the children all stood and followed her inside the house to the dining room where they met Abbu seated and has started eating already, they all greeted Abbu and Abbu answered them happily.
Ummu served them food and they all started eating, they ate silently and when they were done, they told Ummu how yummy and tasty the food is, the food being Amaan's favorite, he specially told Ummu how yummy it is and she hugged him and said "I made it especially and because of you, I would prepare more of your favorite dishes".
Amaan grinned and said "Thank you Mom, I love you".
"I love you too my boy". Ummu said lovingly.
Amaani pouted and said to Abbu "Abbu when are you gonna prepare my favorite dish?"
Abbu stood from his chair and stood by Amaani and patted her shoulders, he said "Amaani don't worry, I'm gonna wear an apron soon, just for you my baby".
Amaani stood up and hugged her Dad and he hugged her back.
Ayman, Amaan, Amal and Laila all laughed including Ummu.
