In the morning, Kirstie woke up first.

She sat up slowly, finding herself sprawled out on the floor beside Scott.

Kirstie stood, not making a sound as she scanned the room.

It appeared that Mitch was laying across the smaller couch, while Alex and Avi shared the larger one.

She seemed to be the first person to get up, and went in search of her phone.

Kirstie found it in the kitchen, and frowned at herself for not plugging it in to charge before she got drunk.

She decided she could solve one thing at a time, and first went to start a pot of coffee, before opening the refrigerator to see what she might be able to make the others for breakfast.

Now scrolling through her phone, she noticed a few messages from her mom, some from Kevin, and then a whole shit ton of messages from Kyle.

Rolling her eyes, she set her phone on the counter, screen down. Leaving it there, she decided to head to the bathroom.

Avi woke up next, having heard her walk past him. He didn't sit up or move, not wanting to disturb Alex, who was very much underneath him.

Alex was laying flat on his back on the couch, with Avi tucked into his arm, Avi's ear pressed to Alex's chest.

Avi couldn't help but smile, turning his head just enough to press a kiss to the center of Alex's chest.

Alex thought about pretending to still be asleep, but he couldn't help but grin at the gesture.

Avi noticed, and sat up quickly to lean on his elbow and stare down at Alex, one arm still braced on Alex's chest. "Faker."

Alex's smile widened. "Sorry. G'morning."

Avi rolled his eyes, and moved to stand up from the couch. "I'm gonna grab some pain killers. You want?"

"No thanks."

Avi tried to whisper. "You're telling me you don't have a hangover?" He paused. "What are you, a superhero?"

Alex giggled, also trying to be quiet. "If you wanna call me that, sure."

"I don't." Avi snapped, before turning to go down the hall. He continued to smile, even though his tone conveyed annoyance.

Alex giggled and hopped up to follow him. "You don't think I'm a hero? I look kinda like a hero don't I?"

Avi turned to glance at him. "I don't see it."

"What?" Alex scoffed at him, following him into their room. "Are you kidding? I'm the most Captain America lookin' fucker you've ever--"

"Are you not hungover because you're still drunk?"

"No!" Alex laughed again. "I'm trying to be funny, and you're not enabling me like you usually do."

"Told you. Need pain killers." Avi reminded him, in his monotonous voice, before digging through a drawer on his side of their bedroom to find just that.

"Okay well hurry up. I am like an infant, I need constant attention and love."

Avi just rolled his eyes, putting a few pills into his hand. "Whatever."

Alex sat down on the edge of their bed, smiling up at Avi. "Sorry. I'll be quiet."

Alex leaned over to grab a notebook off his side of the bed, where he'd tossed it yesterday.

Avi took a few more seconds to take the pills he wanted, before turning to face him again.

Avi watched, as Alex flipped a few pages to stare at some kind of skeleton with a bunch of things labeled on it.
