PAISLEYS POV:

"Run away with me." he says. It sounded as though he didn't mean to say it.

"Ethan, I'm not running away from any more of my problems." I reply, putting on a brave face.

"Well, we can't run away from the problem. The problem is with us no matter what, but we can take it somewhere where it's easier to take care of." he explains.

"Not necessarily, we cou...never mind." I try, then realising it won't work.

"No no, what were you going to say?" He encourages.

"Nothing, don't worry."

"We have one week to sort it out okay, baby? We can work it all out." he soothes, burying his face in my neck.

Mum and I never really talked about this kind of stuff. She said she wanted to wait until I was a little bit older to have 'the talk'. Unfortunately she passed away before I was that age. The only things I know are the things I learnt in health class. I have a theory, but I want to talk to Jai about it. He and his mum are really close, and I know he will be able to help me.

"Ethan, where did you go when you went for a walk?" I ask.

"Um, I went to Chris.'" he answers. Wait, what?

"Does Chris know?" I ask hurriedly.

"Yes, sorry." he apologises, realising at the same time as me.

"Should I just go over there now and-" he starts.

"Yes. Now. Take your time because I need to talk to Jai" I say, then realise it sounds worse than I intended.

"Jai?" He asks.

"Yes, Ethan. Don't worry, I just need to talk to him. He's like what Chris is to you, but to me. I promise nothing is going on, I just need to ask him something." I say, watching his expression change when I mention the Chris part. He seems to understand. He stands up off the bed, pulling me with him. He holds me in his arms for a few more minutes but then kisses me softly, the pulls away and looks me in the eyes.

"It's going to be okay." he whispers before turning around and hurrying away.

Jai told me he was going to hide out the front just in case something happened between Ethan and I. I was supposed to call him if I needed anything. I wait a few minutes, but then text him, saying for him to come inside. I hear the doorbell so I go let him in. I take him up to the music room and sit him down on another stool.

"Okay, what up?" He asks.

"Well, um, I know you and your mum are close.. And I thought you might know." I say hesitantly, suddenly finding myself embarrassed.

"What's up, Paisley?" He asks with a lopsided, confused stare.

"How much is abortion?"
