Chapter 107.

ETHANS POV:

I don't know how I feel. Brai said he would back off, he got her drunk, he had sex with her. I don't know about him, but that's definitely not backing off to me. I love her so much, and there's no way I'm giving her another reason to leave like that again. From now on, she's forever mine. We've had our fair share of rough patches. She's still asleep in my arms, and looking even more beautiful than I last saw her. I can't help but stare. I use the tip of my thumb to brush a strand of hair out of her face. I wonder whats going to happen today? I'm actually scared she's going to wake up and realise she's not ready or something. I'm definitely ready. I remember something now. Tomorrow is her birthday. We have to do something, anything. It's her sixteenth. Is there anything special I can get her? I noticed last night that she wasn't wearing the ring, and it felt like something had stabbed my heart. Something catches my eye. Something on the bedside table. It was glinting in the light. It was the ring. A wave of reassurance rushes over my body, making me think that she just didn't put it on when she went to the beach.

Chris and Jai called me last night. They said she was in the kitchen, then hung up suddenly. They called me back and said she had gone upstairs and then they explained everything. They told me to come down here and text them when I arrived. We planned the whole thing. I was actually on the phone with Grace when they called, but I somehow knew that they had news on Paisley. It's weird, I can feel it or something. Chris and Grace broke up three weeks ago. She said that he spent too much time with things to do with Paisley, she didn't think he cared enough about her. Despite Chris' attempts to prove to Grace that he loved her, she broke everything off. After about two weeks of a ruined Chris, he slowly started to get over her. I reckon they will get back together when we all get back. They were always so happy together.

"What are you thinking so hard about?" My thoughts are cut out by a voice. I don't say anything but look down at the girl laying in front of me.

"Are you okay?" She asks. I nod and smile at her.

"Cool, because I want to let you know something." she whispers, snuggling into my chest.

"Mmm?" I ask, still half asleep.

"I wanted to tell you that I know what I did was wrong, and I honestly regret it so much. It didn't feel anything like it did with you, I love you so much and I need you to know that I'm not leaving you ever again. I'm done running away from my problems, and I know I can face them." she says, making me smile.

"Paisley, you have me, you have all your friends. I love you too, and please know that I'm always here to help you through anything. All you have to do is tell me, it's not hard. Nothing is going to be like it was anymore, we can sort our lives out together, okay?" I tell her, feeling her squeeze me tighter.

"I missed you so much." she says so quietly I can barely hear her. I don't think I was meant to hear.

"Me too, Paisley me too."

JAIS POV:

I kind of snapped at her, but I guess it worked in a way. I just hope nothing happened between her and Brai. He just needs to back off and stop playing around with people's feelings.I think things are going to start changing for the better. We are heading back to the house. I have my license and mums letting me borrow the car. She doesn't let me drive long distances, and this isn't far. We pull up the driveway and get out the car. We are both hit by the instant heat and race each other to get under the veranda. The door opens before we can ring the doorbell. It was Ethan.

"Get in here, I need help." he says, shoving us inside.

"What's wrong?" Chris asks as he leads us over to the couch.

"Where's Paisley?" I ask.

"She's in the shower. Hurry up and sit." he orders. We sit down on the couch next to Khloe and Anna.

"Alright, it's Paisley's birthday tomorrow." he announces. Am I a bad friend if I said that I forgot? Probably.

"We have to do something!" Khloe says excitedly.

"I don't think she wants anything." Ethan shrugs.

"Well we have to get her something at least.

"Yeah, but what?" Khloe asks.

"Umm, I dunno." Anna shrugs.

"What about we just take her out to dinner?" I suggest. The room is filled with us whisper-shouting suggestions. Suddenly Chris pipes up, making me realise he hasn't said anything.

"Let her spend the day with Ethan." he says in a normal voice, making all our whispers sound like nothing.

"What?" Everyone asks at the same time.

"Well, think about it. She hasn't seen him in weeks, she doesn't want anything. At least let her have a day or night with Ethan." he explains.

"Chris.. Can I talk to you?" Ethan asks. Even I can tell that Chris has a plan.

ETHANS POV:

Chris follows me out the room and sits on the balcony with me.

"What do you have in mind?" I ask. I know he has something, but I didn't think this is what he would say.

"You need to propose."
