Chapter 14.

CHRIS' POV:

I realise two things at once. One, Paisley is about to commit suicide, two, something bad has obviously happened, and Ethan's not here. That means he's home. Alone. I say nothing but stop and point. I'm afraid if I say anything, Paisley will hear and she'll jump. Jai's mouth opens into a look of shock and sadness. I whisper the plan to him and he agrees. I was going for Ethan, he was going for Paisley. I run off towards Ethan's house as fast as I can as Jai does the same to Paisley, trying his best to be quiet, really hoping he gets there before she jumps. I run like Usain bolt to Ethan's house. The door was unlocked so I run inside.

"Ethan!?" I yell. No answer.

I run upstairs and look in all of the rooms. He's not there. I run back to his room to have a better look. That's when I find him.

He's laying on the floor next to his bed, he's not moving. At first I can't see, but then I do. He's got a knife in his right hand and on his left, theres blood everywhere. The cuts are dripping with hot, thick, deep red blood. At first I think their just cuts, but then I realise their letters. I go closer and see what they spell out.

'Goodbye Paisley'

What the actual fuck happened today..?

These two need each other. They need each other's love, their unbreakable bond to stay in this world. Without the other, they can't survive. I notice that Ethan still hasn't moved and I actually start freaking out. I'm about to call an ambulance but then I realise he's just passed out. I have a feeling Ethan won't take it well if he wakes up in hospital, so I put my phone down. Why would Paisley commit suicide? Does that have anything to do with what Chelsea and Rhianna were doing to her? Was Ethan trying to end his life or was he just saying goodbye to Paisley because he knew she was? Was he trying to join her? I don't even know. I know it's going to seem weird, but I pick Ethan up and lay him on his bed.I start to worry if Jai got to Paisley in time, he's not back yet. All of a sudden Ethan starts to cry. It was random and strange, but he's awake. Which is a relief.

"Paisley." he cries. He doesn't even know I'm here.

"Ethan, I'm here." I say which makes him jump. He tries to cover his arm under his sheet, but it's hard when it takes three seconds for the blood to soak through.

"Don't, I've already seen." I tell him. He doesn't say anything, just looks at me all scared and Hurt.

"What happened?"

"She's g-gone." he says through tears.

"Gone where?" I ask. I want to know if he knows what she just tried to, or did do.

"She just said she was h-holding me back and she couldn't live with herself f-for that. She said she was l-leaving for a while then she m-might come back." he stutters. She lied to him. Now I wish I had told him about the death stares and the shoving. He was just so in the dark about what was happening that he didn't read between the lines. I guess he doesn't know what she was about to, or did do, and I wish I didn't have to be the one to tell him.

"Ethan, she just tried to commit suicide. I don't know if she went through with it or not. Jai is with her, I don't know if he got to her in time."

Then he passes out again.
