"Pregnant? Are you sure?" I was speechless, Ric and I were always extremely careful. "I'm positive, Violet. Do you want to do a blood test as well?" I shrugged, thinking about how this happened. What was I going to do? Mom and dad were going to kill me. What about Ric...? He was going to be so upset, I couldn't tell him. Not yet, at least.
His birthday was next month. Be like, "Happy birthday, I'm pregnant!" No, I couldn't do that to him. "Violet?" I snapped out of it. "Yeah?" My doctor rubbed my shoulder, "It's okay." She tried reassuring me, telling me that everything was going to work out.
I took deep breaths, I had to stay calm for my sake and the baby's. I looked at my doctor, "Amie?" "Yes, Violet?" I took a deep breath, "Can you please not tell my parents? Please, I beg you." She took her glasses off, "I won't. You have my word." "You promise?" I begged. She nodded, "Promise. Now do you want that second test?" "No it's okay." She understood, "Your mom already paid so you can leave whenever." "Okay thanks." I grabbed my test and left.
My head was filling with thoughts and scenarios. I knew I had to tell Ric, I just wish I knew how. So I went for a walk so I could reflect my own feelings about being pregnant. As I walked, my phone went off. It was Sarah.
Sarah: hey you ok?
Me: yeah why
Sarah: just checking. wanna hang out
I desperately wanted to but I needed to be alone.
Me: Can we tomorrow? i have a ton of homework
Sarah: of course 😊 have fun
Me: thx
My head was spinning around so I sat down to think. I was 16 years old and pregnant with my teacher's baby. What the hell was I gonna do?
