~ The next day ~
Today was the day. I was getting married in six hours. I looked over at Ric, he was sleeping peacefully. God, he looked so handsome when he slept. After gently brushing his hair out of his eyes, I started to get ready. Mom had everything ready in one of the church's rooms. Sarah was my maid of honor and the only bridesmaid I had. Our ring barrier was Stefan since we didn't know any young boys and our flower girl was my youngest cousin who, along with her family, still tolerated my family.
It was going to be a very small wedding. Approximately 20 guests. As I packed my purse, Ric woke. He sat up and smiled at me, "Good morning gorgeous." I smiled as I walked over to him. "Good morning handsome." We kissed passionately then hugged. "Today's the day." I giggled, he smiled. "The day I make you mine."
Since there was a lot for me to do, I had to leave early. I gave Ric the biggest hug before I left. "See you in six hours my darling." He hugged back, "Then you're all mine."
By the time I got to the church, it was already time to do hair and makeup. We kept my hair very simple with a low bun and the flower crown. As for my makeup, we did a stunning rose gold eye shadow and nude pink lip stick. Everything was going perfect.
Before I knew it, it was time to get dressed. Mom helped me with the zipper. "Oh mija, you look gorgeous." She said tearfully. "Mom no crying yet." I hugged her. "I can't help it. My sixteen year old baby is growing up." I kissed her cheek, "I'm always going to be your baby, mom." She smiled.
After a bit, dad walked in. He was speechless when he was me. "Holy crap. You look amazing Violet." I hugged him. "Thank you daddy."
A few moments later, it was time. Dad held me close as I breathed heavily. There was no turning back now. Time to marry Alaric Saltzman once and for all.
