Allen Household

Younger Barry got downstairs to see his mother in the living room, surrounded by red and yellow blurs, her screaming. "Henry! Henry!"

"Mom! Mom!" Barry yelled.

"Barry, no! Get back!" Nora yelled.

"Mom! Mom!" Barry continued to yell.

Then the window shattered and Henry came running into the living room. "Nora!" Henry yelled.

"Stay back!" Nora yelled in fear.

"Nora! Hold on!" Henry yelled before turning to Barry. "Run, Barry, run!" he yelled at Barry and he nodded. One of The Flashes took younger Barry and ran off with him, and Henry got knocked out.

Angered by this, Reverse Flash took a knife and headed for Nora, but our Flash zoomed in and pinned Reverse Flash against the wall, which made him drop the knife. "No! You're not gonna kill her this time! You're not gonna kill her ever again!" Barry yelled before he knocked Reverse Flash out.

Then he turned to Nora, who looked scared out of her mind, and he bent down. "I'm not gonna hurt you," Barry said but she still looked scared. "I'm not gonna hurt you. Okay? I'm not gonna hurt you. You're safe. You're safe now." Nora nodded then Barry stood up, picked up Reverse Flash and ran off.

Once he was outside, he ran off, and went back to present time, and brought Thawne into an abandoned warehouse.

It's been three months since Barry went back and saved his mother. And he's been nothing but happy. Having his parents alive. Being able to be a normal guy. Crushing on a reporter in National City. But some things have changed.

Noonan's
National City

Nervous. Hands sweating. Heart racing.

Barry was sitting at a table, nervously tapping his foot, sipping coffee, waiting for a certain determined blonde to walk in and get her morning coffee. "Today's the day. Today's the day. Talk to her. Where is she?" Barry muttered to himself but then Kara walked in, and walked up to the counter. Barry saw her and immediately got up before he walked up behind her. "Okay, just do it. Gonna do it. You've talked to her a million times. Say something clever."

"Channel 52 breaking news. The latest from Central City, where the mysterious meta-human criminal, known only as the Rival is once again terrorizing the populous with his incredible speed."

Both Kara and Barry looked at the tv, then Barry saw Kara go on her phone and urgently text someone. But as she did, Barry backed up and zoomed away. Kara felt a wind rush by her, and she turned to see, but no one was there.

Streets of Central City

The Flash, who was not Barry, but a mysterious guy in a yellow suit, zoomed in front of another speedster, named The Rival, who was in a black suit. "Need our help, Flash?" A police officer behind The Flash asked.

"Nah. When I'm done with this fool, he might. What have you got against my city?" The Flash asked.

"The city's just fine. It's the people in it who need to be educated. And I have no rival! Especially not you," The Rival said, then he shot some electricity at The Flash, but he ducked it.
