Part Eighty-Seven 여든칠

The next day is the second concert in Fort Worth. After an amazing night sleep and a great hotel breakfast, we arrive at the concert hall. The guys have to practice a few songs today before their next concert tonight. They need to test everything, so in order to do that, they have to practice (nearly) every song.

Today, I am in charge of the behind the scenes footage, so I get to film the guys during their practices. I don't film everything, but make short, nice shots. The guys mostly test if everything works. They don't really do any dance routine and they save their voices for the concert tonight.

I stand on stage and look at the few photos I took from Jin's Epiphany, as Taehyung calls my name. I look up and look at him, standing on the main stage. He waves at me and signs that I need to come to him. I smile and walk over to him. Taehyung smiles wide and grabs my wrist. He pulls me with him, without saying a word.

"Tae, what are you doing? You need to practice!" I tell him with a smile. They are about to practice The Truth Untold and I wanted to be on the catwalk to make the best shots. "Can you put your work down for a few minutes?" He asks me with a small smile. I laugh a little, "We have to keep this professional, babe! We promised!" Taehyung laughs and takes my camera from me.

He looks at Kaylee and gives her my camera. "Hey! I need that!" I tell Taehyung. I want to walk over to Kaylee to get my camera back, but Taehyung grabs my arm and pulls me away from her. He brings his microphone to his face. "We can start!" He says. He uses his microphone so the tech-guys can hear him backstage. The music of The Truth Untold starts.

I look at Taehyung and feel confused. "What are you doing?" I ask him. Taehyung just smiles and wraps his arm around me to hold me close to him. "I wanna sing it for you," He tells me. Immediately I feel goosebumps all over my body. He wants to sing this song while I stand next to him? In a concert hall like this?

Taehyung starts to sing and looks at me. While he didn't sing the other songs with the full power of his voice, he does exactly that with this song. He doesn't seem to mind that this is just a practice, he treats it like it is a real concert. But instead of focusing on the crowd, he only focuses on me. His eyes stare into mine as he sings this amazing song. He runs his hand through my hair and smiles at me. I feel completely frozen. The song is so beautiful and being here on stage with them, feels amazing. I have heard this song in a big hall like this before, but not while Taehyung stood right next to me. It has been a while since he sang this song to me and just for me. But I feel honored that he sings it for me right here, right now.

As Jungkook takes over, I am reminded that we are actually not the only ones here. Taehyung moves his microphone away from his face and looks at me. I see how his mouth softly forms the words, but he lets his brothers sing it. I wrap my arms around Taehyung while I listen to the other guys singing the song. Taehyung holds his arm around me as well and leans his head against mine. I look at the other guys who stand next to us, while they sing the song. They try to save their voices for tonight, but they still put on a great show.

As Taehyung starts to sing again, the stage moves up. I smile wide and let go of Taehyung to look at him while he sings. Taehyung's eyes are focused on mine as he sings. He even throws in a high note, what makes me smile.

As the others take over again, I take a moment to look at the concert hall. We moved up like two or three meters. Even though the view is amazing from up here, I feel a little scared. I hold Taehyung a little tighter, who laughs a little. "I'm right here," he whispers. I relax completely and feel my entire body shake.

Maybe it is this song, maybe it is this view, maybe it is his words or maybe it is just this entire moment. But whatever it is, I start to feel tears burning in my eyes. I look at Taehyung and hear the other guys throw in some amazing high notes. Taehyung looks back at me and puts his hand on my cheek. A tear breaks through and rolls down my face. Taehyung looks worried, but I smile wide at him. "You okay?" He asks me.
