"Are you ready, Ali?" I stand in front of a big mirror. I keep looking at myself, wearing a white dress. The dress reaches to a few inches above the floor. The dress is completely covered in flowers, especially on the sleeves. The top of the dress is tight around my body, what shows the bump in my belly, but it is not too tight that it crushes it.

I never thought I would stand here. If you would've told me two years ago that I would stand here, in a beautiful, white dress, five months pregnant, ready to get married to Kim Taehyung, I would've never ever believed you. But here I am, living my dream life.

I turn around and look at my best friends Yana and Kaylee. They both wear a beige dress with the same flowers on it as on my white dress. They both look at me with a big, happy smile on their faces. "Wow..." Yana says. I see tears in her eyes already, even though the whole ceremony hasn't started just yet.

I feel tears burning in my eyes as well and take a deep breath in hope to hold my tears for a little more. "I am ready," I say. Yana and Kaylee look at me one more time and nod. "You are already the most beautiful bride ever," Kaylee tells me. I laugh, "That's only because the two of you haven't been a bride yet." They laugh with me, but my joke also nearly makes all of us cry from happiness.

"Come here before I start to cry!" I tell them and open my arms for them. They both walk up to me and we hug each other tight. "I love you two so much," I tell them, "Thank you for being here with me." "We're always here, Ali," Yana tells me. "Yes, and we love you so much as well," Kaylee says. I feel a lump in my throat but try to ignore it.

We let go of each other when we hear a soft knock on the door. We all take a deep breath. "We're almost ready," I tell whoever is behind that door. The door opens slowly and I scare when I see who I was actually talking to.

"I was actually hoping to have a moment with the bride," my dad says. I immediately feel fear in my entire body. My muscles start to shake and my heartbeat speeds up.

I haven't seen my dad in a long time. The last time I saw him, was when I told him and my mom about my pregnancy and about Taehyung's proposal. That day, my dad screamed at me. He told me how stupid I was for getting knocked up and for agreeing to marry Taehyung. I hoped that he would've been happy for me and Taehyung, but he still didn't accept our relationship. Because he is my dad, I still invited him to the wedding. But he never responded. My mom told me she would try to get him to come with her, but I never thought he would actually be here. But here he is. He is even wearing a suit...

I look at him and feel a lot of emotions race through my body like I am a circuit. "I-I don't think now is a good time, dad," I tell him. My dad nods, "Honey, please, it won't take long, I promise." I sigh and look at Yana and Kaylee. "Let everyone know we can start in a few minutes," I tell them. Kaylee and Yana nod and leave the room to leave me and my dad alone.

I look at my dad and cross my arms. "If you're here to scream at me again and to stop the wedding, just go already. It won't happen. This wedding will happen, whether you like it or not," I tell him. My dad nods and looks down. "I understand," he says, "I'm not here to ruin anything." I feel confused, "You're not? Then why are you here?"

My dad avoids my eyes, what makes me believe he is struggling to find the right words to say, something I haven't seen from him in a long time. "I-I came here to apologize..." He says. I feel even more confused. "Y-You... What?"

He looks me in the eyes and sighs. "Alyssa, I was way too hard on you... I'm sorry," he says. I still don't understand what's happening right now. "You're sorry?" I ask him. My dad nods, "I am, really. I thought I was doing the right thing to keep you away from that guy, but now I see that I was wrong. I thought he was bad for you, but he isn't. I thought he didn't deserve you, but now I see how happy he makes you. I'm sorry I didn't see that before."
