Part One Hundred and Eleven 백십일

Namjoon, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, Taehyung, Jungkook, Kaylee and me walk into the concert hall after our little break. Of course Taehyung won our little race and got into the dining room before me since he had a head start. I mean, otherwise I would've beat him, obviously! But luckily he left me some food so we were both finally able to eat lunch.

We walk onto the stage and see Halsey, Mitch and Jesse stand on the main stage. I feel excited as I see her. I don't see myself as a huge fan of hers, but I sure like some of her music and I just think it is great to meet someone like her.

Halsey greets all the guys with a wide smile and they all hug each other. "Great to see you again!" She tells them. "We've missed you!" Jimin smiles. Halsey laughs, "I've missed you too!"

Then she turns to Kaylee and me. "We haven't met, right?" She asks. "No, we haven't," Kaylee says, "I am Kaylee and this is Alyssa. We are part of the crew." Halsey smiles and greets us both with a hug. "It is great to meet you," she says. "Great to meet you too," I tell her as I hug her shortly. Her smile is warm and very loving.

"Alyssa is a big fan of yours!" Suga jokes. I scare a little and shoot him a warning glare. "Suga, stop it! You're embarrassing me!" I tell him, what makes everyone laugh. Halsey smiles wide and looks back at me. "Don't worry, I think it's really sweet," She tells me. I smile back at her and feel a little shy. I am not really a big fan of hers, I mean, I like some of her songs. But I don't feel like telling her that, so I just smile and go with it.

After Mitch explains what the plan is for today - which is just practicing their new song a few times and then let the press take some photos - they all get in position. Kaylee, Mitch, Jesse and I go to the catwalk to give the guys and Halsey some space. When they all get ready to start, J-hope looks at me.

"Ali, why don't you show Halsey what to do?" He asks with a wink. I roll my eyes and laugh. "I think she knows that pretty well," I tell him. Halsey looks at me. "Wait, have you done the routine with them before?" She asks me seriously. I get a little shy and nod. "Y-yeah I have. They wanted to practice so they would know where you would be, so I filled in for you, actually," I tell her.

Halsey smiles wide, "Oh that's great! Do you mind doing that once for now as well?" I feel my heart stop. She is kidding, right? I am not a good dancer at all and now she wants me to dance in front of her and the press?!

"I mean, I do know the routine, but it would be nice to see where I am supposed to go before I try it myself, you know?" Halsey explains. I feel my heart beating in my throat. It actually makes sense and I understand her point of view perfectly, but I feel way too shy and scared to do that...

I can't find the words to say. I want to decline her offer, but how could I say no?

Jungkook runs up to me and grabs my wrist. "Of course she would do that!" He says as he drags me with him to the main stage. I try to get my wrist out of his grip and tell everyone I won't do it, but I am even too scared to do that.

So I gather all my self esteem and take a deep breath to calm my nerves. "Y-yeah, sure!" I finally say. Everyone cheers and Jungkook finally lets go of my wrist. "Great! Let's get started then!" Jesse says. Halsey gets on the catwalk to watch us.

I look at the guys who all get in position, but I still feel scared. Then Taehyung's eyes find mine. He stands with his back towards everyone else, so nobody can see it when he smiles and winks at me. "You got this," he whispers to me. The other guys smile at me as well. "You'll be great, Ali," Suga tells me, "Don't worry too much."

I feel a lot calmer and take a few deep breaths. I try to ignore everyone else in the room and just focus on myself and on the guys. I try to pretend like it is just another practice with just them, like last time. Like nobody else is here with us.
