Part Thirty-Seven 삼십칠

It's Sunday. The first week at my new job is done. Never in a million years did I think my week would go the way it actually did. I had the best week ever! I got to see BTS practice in a huge concert hall, I was able to take pictures of them during rehearsals, I hung out with them every single day after work and I made a new friend! Since Kaylee and I are colleagues and she is my supervisor, we spend a lot of time at work. She showed me a lot of tips and tricks. But above all, we had a lot of fun! The entire crew is incredibly sweet and gave me a very warm welcome, what made my week this incredible.

I stand in my room, looking at the dress I bought for today. Today it is Sophie's wedding. I am super excited to go to her wedding and be a part of one of the most important days of her life. Of course, I am also very excited to be able to bring Taehyung with me. But I am also very, very nervous about the fact that Mick will be there too... I still haven't told Sophie what happened and I am definitely not going to tell her on her wedding day. But I have no idea how Mick will behave. The last time I saw him, he yelled at me, said horrible things to me and slapped me.

I don't think he would slap me or yell at me at a wedding - at least, I hope he won't - but I am still very nervous to see him again. I definitely don't want to talk to him or come close to him, but I have a feeling he has a different idea.

I grab my dress and get dressed. I curl my hair and put on some make-up. Taehyung will be here in a few minutes. It actually feels weird, not spending a full day with him. We actually spent this entire week together. I know, it may sound like a lot, because we already see each other at work. But at work, we are not able to be... us and act like a couple. So, after work we've spent a lot of time together. It was amazing, finally being able to stop pretending and just be real.

But today we decided to spend a moment apart. We both had to get ready for the wedding in our own way. It feels weird not having him around, I mean I like the peace and quiet, but I like it even more if he is around. I was actually scared that we would hate it to spend every minute of every day together, but we both really like it and I really feel like we got a lot closer.

I look in the mirror. The dress I'm wearing is dark green. The fabric is soft and has a flower pattern all over the dress. The front of the dress reaches till my knees, but the back of the dress is a little longer. Because it is still January, I have dark leggings underneath the dress. My black high heels, really finish the look.

The doorbell rings, what means Taehyung is here. I smile wide and open the door for him. I am amazed by what I see. Taehyung wears a black suit with a black buttun-up shirt underneath it. His hair is a little curly. I notice how his eyes look at me as I look at him. "Wow..." He says. "That's what I wanted to say," I smile. I take a step closer and hug him tight. Taehyung wraps his arms around me as well.

"You look incredible," he says as we let go again. I smile wide and feel my cheeks blush. "You look really handsome yourself," I tell him. Taehyung smiles, "You like it? I know I'm all black, but I wasn't feeling like wearing a white shirt." I smile, "I love it! You look amazing!" Taehyung smiles and kisses my lips gently. "You look amazing yourself, wearing my color," he winks. I laugh, he is right. The color of my dress is nearly the same as the color of his microfoon in BTS.

"Ready?" Taehyung asks me. "One second, I need to find a small bag for my phone," I tell him. I turn around and look at all my bags. "I can hold onto it, if you want," Taehyung suggests, "I have pockets!" He shows me his phone in his pocket. "You don't mind?" I ask him. Taehyung smiles and shakes his head. "No, I don't mind!" I hand him my phone and he puts it in his pocket. "Okay, now I'm ready!" I tell him.

A few minutes later, Taehyung parks the car in front of a huge barn. Taehyung looks a little confused. "Is this the right location?" He asks me. I nod, "It is. Sophies soon-to-be husband owns this place. It is an old barn, but it is an empty barn." "Oh wow! That's really cool!" he says. I smile, "Yeah, and a really cool place to get married." Taehyung agrees with a smile and we both get out of the car. Looking at all the cars parked in front of the barn, I guess we're not the first to arrive.

I want to grab Taehyung's hand, but remind myself we can't do that here. Even though there is no crew around, we have to act like friends, nothing more. Nobody can know we're actually together.

We go into the barn and are immediately amazed by its beauty. The barn looks really old from the outside, but the inside is transformed into a beautiful party-area. There are a lot of lights on the walls and on the roof, there are lots of chairs and a beautiful aisle made of a white carpet. There is also a band, playing soft and romantic music to get everyone in the mood.

Taehyung and I take a seat close to the front of the ceremony. We both look around and are amazed by the looks of the barn. "This is a beautiful place to get married," Taehyung says. "Yeah, it really is!" I say.

A few minutes later, the ceremony starts. The groom, Daniel, enters, followed by the groomsmen and the bridesmaids. Then the music changes. Everyone stands up and Sophie enters the barn. She wears an incredibly pretty, white dress. She smiles wide and I already see tears of happiness in her eyes. She walks down the aisle and meets Daniel in the front. The music stops and everyone takes a seat again.

The ceremony is really beautiful and everyone cheers as the bride and groom say their vows and kiss for the first time as husband and wife. I have a hard time fighting my tears as I see the incredibly happy look of Sophie and her now husband. Everyone stands up and cheers as the bride and groom leave hand in hand.

We all go to the other part of the barn, which is turned into a party-area. The band moves to this part of the barn and takes place on a small stage. The area is filled with a chairs and small tables on the side and a bar. The middle of the barn is transformed into a huge dancefloor.

Taehyung and I find a nice spot on the side of the dancefloor and take a moment to look at how beautiful everything is here. "They did a really good job," Taehyung smiles. I laugh, "Yeah, they did! It is so pretty!"

"Alyssa!" I turn around and see Mick coming towards me. I immediately take a step closer to Taehyung. He notices Mick as well and lets me stand behind him as he forms my shield. Mick stops in front of Taehyung, but looks at me. "Alyssa, I am glad you're here," he says. "Go away, Mick," I tell him. Mick sighs, "I just want to talk." "Well, I don't," I tell him. I stay close to Taehyung and stay behind him. I don't trust Mick at all and neither does Taehyung.

"Please, Alyssa, I'm so sorry for what happened," Mick says. I look away from him and stay quiet. I don't want his apology. Sure, he might be sorry - I really hope he is sorry - but that doesn't change anything.

"You heard her, leave!" Taehyung tells Mick. Mick sighs and keeps looking at me. "Please, Ali, let's talk it out," Mick begs, but I shake my head. "I don't want to talk, I want you to leave," I tell him. Mick tries to walk around Taehyung, to get closer to me, but Taehyung stops him and puts his hand on Mick's chest. "Don't even try!" Taehyung warns him. The sound of his voice tells me he is ready to fight Mick if he needs to. I am completely sure Taehyung could beat Mick within a heartbeat. I bet Mick knows it too.

He takes a step back and looks at me. "I am so sorry, Ali," he says. "I really hope you are sorry," I tell him, "I thought you were my friend!" Mick sighs, "I still am, I promise." I shake my head, "No, you're not. Get away from me!" Mick sighs, looks at Taehyung and walks away.

I sigh relieved. I was really scared he would keep pushing until I would talk to him. I know Taehyung would help me no matter what, but I really don't want to cause a scene at the wedding of my friend.

Taehyung turns around to me. "Are you okay?" He asks me. I nod and look at him. "Thank you for defending me," I tell him. Taehyung smiles, "I save you." I smile wide and immediately feel better. "I save you as well," I tell him. I wish I could kiss him right now, but I know we can't.

The band starts to play and gets everyone's attention. I see Sophie and Daniel come into the room. Everyone forms a circle around the dance floor and Sophie and Daniel start their first dance as husband and wife. I immediately recognize the song: Just The Way You Are by Bruno Mars. It sounds beautiful and it warms my heart to see Sophie and her husband dance on this song with huge, happy smiles on their faces. She looks really happy. And I am happy for her.
