Min-Jun and Mitch stare at Taehyung, completely thrown off guard. "You don't want a solo career," Min-Jun says. "If that's what it takes to keep my relationship, then yes, I do want a solo career," Taehyung says. While Min-Jun looks at Taehyung with a challenged look in his eyes, I feel my heartbeat in my throat. "You're gonna regret this," Min-Jun says.

"No, I won't. I'm no longer playing by your rules. From now on I make my own. I want a career as a singer and have a girlfriend. If you can't give me that, I will find it somewhere else," Taehyung says. Min-Jun looks angry and stands up. "Fine, have fun living with regrets," he says.

"No!" I say, "You can't fire him!" "That's what he wants," Min-Jun says, "He would throw all of his career away, for some random girl." "No, that's not what he wants," I say, ignoring the part of him calling me a random girl. Taehyung looks at me, completely being confused by what I'm doing.

I turn around to him and put my hand on his arm, like Mitch and Min-Jun aren't here with us. "Tae, you don't want this," I tell him. "Yes, I do," he says, but I shake my head. "No, you don't. Even if you believe you want this now, I won't let you do it, because you will regret it later," I tell him. "No, baby, I want this. I really, really do," He says.

I sigh, "Taehyung, you're not gonna give up your career for me. I won't let you. Even if you tell me how bad you want it." Taehyung looks confused, "What are you saying? That we should give up our relationship? Is that what you want?" I smile weakly and shake my head, "No of course not. I want nothing more than to keep this relationship with you and make incredible memories together for the rest of our lives... But we can't."

"Yes we can," He says, "I can leave the band and go solo! I will find a new management that will allow our relationship..." I shake my head, "No, Tae, you're not gonna do that." He looks confused and offended. "You think I am not good enough to be a solo singer?" He asks. "Of course you are good enough to be a solo singer. You are one of the most talented people in the world! You can do anything," I tell him. "So I can go solo! We would be able to date and I can keep performing at the same time," He says.

I shake my head again, "That will never make you happy." He looks confused again, "What are you talking about? Of course it will make me happy! I would be able to be with you and still be a singer!" "Yes, but you need to leave your brothers for that..." I tell him. Taehyung stays quiet and sighs. "If that's what it takes..." He softly says.

"No, Tae, I won't let you do that. I know how much you love being in BTS. I know how much you love performing with your brothers and being with them all the time! I won't ever let you give all that up for me!" I tell him, "Yes, you could be a solo artist if you want to. Yes, we would be able to keep our relationship... But you won't ever be as happy as you are being in BTS. Because that's what makes you truly happy."

He looks at me and I see tears in his eyes. "But being with you also makes me truly happy," he says. I smile and feel tears burning in my eyes as I look at him. He looks so vulnerable and sad and scared... I put my hand on his cheek, not caring about the fact that Mitch and Min-Jun are still here with us, staring at Taehyung and me.

"I know, babe, you also make me truly happy," I tell him, "But I know how much this band means to you. I know I will be able to make you happy, but you will always need them and the ARMY..." Taehyung sighs, "But I will also always need you..." My heart breaks as a tear rolls down his cheek. I know this is hard for him. He needs to choose between the two biggest loves of his life. Even though I want to scream for him to choose me, I can't let him give up his career, his band and his fans. Even if it means I will be miserable forever. I try not to think of my own happiness and only focus on his, because that's the only thing that matters right now.
