Part Sixty-Three 육십삼

Today is the day... Today is the day of my first BTS concert. Around eight months ago, the guys gave us the tickets and today it's finally the day. Eight months ago, I would never think today would be like this... Eight months ago I was just falling in love with Kim Taehyung, not knowing what to come...

But after six months I will finally see them again. I will see my friends again and I will see him again... I am incredibly excited, but also really terrified. Will he be happy to see me? Did he miss me as much as I missed him? Or did he move on? I know he is doing well lately, but will I make it worse by attending at the concert? Will I just miss him more after seeing him for just one day?

I stand in front of my closet. I don't know what to wear. I have a BTS shirt, but I don't know if it will be weird to wear it... I mean, I still love them - how could I not - but I don't know how Taehyung feels. If he has moved on and he doesn't love me like before, it might seem desperate to wear a BTS shirt...

Yana comes into my room. "Tada!" She shouts. I look at her and see she wears a black BTS shirt with their logo on the front and their names on the back. She also wears black skinny jeans and white sneakers. "You look amazing!" I tell her. "Thank you!" She says.

Then she notices my pajamas. "Why aren't you dressed yet?" She asks me. "I don't know what to wear... Isn't it weird if I wear their merch?" I ask her. Yana walks over to me, grabs a pair of jeans and my BTS shirt and puts it in my hands. "Listen carefully, Ali," she says with a serious tone, "Today is our first BTS concert. Today we are ARMY's."

I laugh, "Aren't we always ARMY's?" "Yes, but especially today!" Yana says, "So we do what every ARMY would do: We wear merch, we buy Army Bombs, we freak out before the concert starts, during the concert and after the concert, we scream every fanchant and we sing every song! Because that's what ARMY's do." I smile wide and nod, "You're right. Today is all about us."

So I get dressed and do my hair and make-up. As I look at the time, I feel my nerves adding up. Just a few more hours... I don't know what makes me more nervous, the fact that I'll be attending at my first BTS concert today or the fact that I will see them again today? I bet the second...

"Ali! We're leaving in ten minutes!" Yana shouts from the kitchen. I quickly go into the kitchen and see her freaking out. "What am I missing?" She asks. "Yana, please keep breathing," I tell her. She laughs and checks our bags again. "No, you're right. We got everything," she says. "The most important things are the tickets and our money," I joke. "Besides, we packed our bags last night and we already checked them five times," I remind her.

Yana takes a deep breath. "You're right. I'm just freaking out," Yana says. I smile and give her a hug. "Just keep breathing," I tell her, "We'll be fine." I let go of her and smile. "Yes, we'll be fine," she says. She looks at the time. "So, shall we go?" She asks. I smile wide and feel the excitement in my bones. "Yes, let's go!"

A few hours later, we finally have our Army Bombs. I knew it would be hard to get them and I knew the queue would be really long... But damn! I didn't expect this! We got here a few hours early, but it turned out we were not the only ones with that idea. And it looks like every single person needed an Army Bomb.

But thank God, we got our Bombs even before the doors open! Yana and I get in line and put the batteries into our Army Bombs. "Let's take a selfie!" Yana says. She grabs her phone and we take a photo with our Bombs in hand in front of the concert hall in our BTS merch. "I love it!" Yana says after she took a few photos of us.

We scare when we hear a few screams. We look around, but then notice the doors have opened. At the same time, Yana and I look at each other. "Are you ready?" She asks me. "Of course not," I laugh, "but let's go!"
