I start to laugh. I can't help it. Even though everyone in this building can feel the tension, I start to laugh. I laugh at my dad and cross my arms. "I am not coming with you," I laugh, "It is insane of you to think I would! I am sorry, but you came all this way for nothing. I belong here and I finally got here. I am not leaving without them."

I can nearly see the fire in my dad's eyes. Of course he hates this. He wanted me to come with him, but I won't listen to him, not anymore. At least not if he speaks with so much disrespect.

"Ali, I am your dad and I tell you what to do," he spits. I feel how Taehyung gets angry as well. "I'm sorry, sir, but Alyssa is old enough to make her own decisions," he says. Even though I love his sweet and caring words, my dad only gets even more mad. He looks at Taehyung, his face slowly getting red of anger. "You should watch your mouth, boy!" He tells Taehyung.

Before things really get out of hand, I step in between my dad and Taehyung, facing my dad. "No, you should watch your mouth! You can't just come here, demand that I grab my bags and leave with you! This is my life now, dad! I make my own decisions!" I tell him. "You clearly make the wrong decisions over and over again! When are you gonna open your eyes and see this guy is wrong for you?" My dad says, "I even called the press to break you two up so you would be free! But you still end up with him! Open your eyes, Alyssa, he is not the one for you!"

I cross my arms in front of my chest as I listen to his hateful words. "Maybe you should open your eyes instead. Taehyung has never done anything to even let me believe for the tiniest bit that he is wrong for me. I trust him and I feel like the happiest human being when I am with him. I am not gonna give it all up because you don't trust him!" I tell my dad, "Why can't you just let me live my own life? If it turns out to be a mistake, I will see that for myself!"

My dad shakes his head, "No, I won't let you! Alyssa, I am trying to protect you! Of course you are allowed to live your own life, but not like this! Not if you just keep making the same mistake!" "Then that is on me, dad!" I tell him. My dad shakes his head again. "No. I won't allow you to throw your life in the garbage like that! I raised you to be a smart girl, but that's not who you are today!" He says.

I feel the anger burning in my veins. "Maybe I am a smart girl, but you are just an incredibly stupid man! You don't even take a moment to get to know Taehyung! You judge him and you don't even give him the chance to stand up for himself! You're acting like a small child! You think he will ruin me, but he is the one who saves me from you! I would never cut Taehyung out of my life, but I will happily cut you out of my life to be happy with him!" I scream at my dad. I let my anger control me. I don't even think before I scream at him again, "You are disrespectful and disgusting! I don't even know why mom stays with you!"

The second the words leave my mouth, my dad lashes out and slaps me. His hand hits my cheek and I immediately feel my cheek burn. Tears break through in my eyes and I feel the pain burning on my skin. I feel a hand wrap around my arm, pulling me backwards. Taehyung steps in and pulls me behind him while he steps between me and my dad.

I put my hand on my hurting cheek and look up to Taehyung, who looks angrier than I have ever seen. His eyes spit fire as he stares at my dad. "You need to leave, right now!" He tells my dad. My dad looks at him, but doesn't look intimidated. "You don't tell me what to do! Get away from my daughter!" My dad tells him. He tries to push Taehyung away to get to me, but Taehyung won't move. He keeps standing in place and glares at my dad. Taehyung works out a lot and is for sure stronger than my dad, but I assume my dad didn't realize that until now.

"You think I would let you come close to her after you just slapped her?!" Taehyung asks my dad, slowly losing his temper as well. "You'd be lucky if I don't call the cops on you!" Taehyung says. My dad lifts his eyebrow at him, "Excuse me?" "You heard me," Taehyung says, "Now get out of here!" My dad shakes his head, "Hell no! I don't listen to guys like you! She might not see it, but I know what you really are! You are toxic! You are a snake that doesn't deserve someone like her!"
