Part Thirty-Two 삼십이

The next morning, I wake up with the arms of Taehyung around me. Even though my first plan was to sleep at home, Taehyung invited me to stay the night. We both have to go to the studio where my new boss will be, so why not stay over?

I slowly open my eyes and see it's still a little dark outside. I look at the time and see it's a few minutes after Six. Taehyung said we have to leave by Eight, so we set the alarm for Seven. I try to fall a sleep again, but I can't sleep anymore. I turn around to face Taehyung, who is still asleep. He looks so peaceful when he's asleep. His curly hair covers his forehead and parts of his closed eyes.

I move my hand and touch his hair without waking him. He moves a little bit, but doesn't wake up. I smile and stare at the ceiling. I feel incredibly nervous... Today I will start at my new job. I will join the crew of BTS and help them making a documentary. It sounds like a dream, but it is really my life now...

After a few minutes, I need to get out of bed. I know I won't fall asleep anyway and I'm getting a little hungry. Maybe I can start making breakfast for everyone? I mean, I can stay in bed with Taehyung, staring at him while he's sleeping. But that only gives me time to think about everything that's going to happen today. I really need to do something else to keep my mind off of it. Making breakfast seems like the best idea.

Without waking Taehyung, I get out of bed. He gave me his sweater to sleep in along with some sweatpants. I look over to Yeontan. He lays in his own dog bed and is still asleep, just like his owner.

I put on some socks and leave the bedroom. I walk through the hall to the kitchen and notice nobody is up yet. At least, that's what it looks like. 

When I get into the kitchen, I open the fridge and find some eggs and some bacon. So I decide to make a nice breakfast with eggs and bacon. I open a few cabinets and find the baking pans. I grab two frying pans and put them on the stove. I turn on the fire and fill one with eggs and the other with bacon. I turn on the radio, but keep the volume low so I won't wake anyone.

After a few minutes, I hear a door open. I look up and see Jungkook coming into the kitchen. He looks a little confused when he sees me. Just like me, he is dressed in a sweater and sweatpants. "Good morning," he says. He takes a look in the frying pans and smiles wide. "Good morning!" I tell him. "You're up early," he notices.

I sigh, "Yeah, I know. I couldn't sleep anymore." He looks a little worried. "Are you nervous?" He asks. I nod, "Yes... A lot!" Jungkook smiles kindly, "Why? Nobody's gonna eat you!" I laugh, "I hope not!" Then I get serious. "It's just... It's a new job, which is scary. I'll be a photographer, which I've never been before." I tell him.

Jungkook nods. "Nobody said it wouldn't be scary," he says, "but you have nothing to worry about. You know how to handle a camera, which is more than any of us can say!" I smile and already feel a little better. "But I don't want to disappoint anyone," I confess, "I know how to take photos, but I am not an expert at filming." Jungkook smiles, "You don't have to be an expert. You just need to know how to start recording and how to stop. You'll learn everything you need to know along the way!"

I smile at him. He really knows how to make me relax a little more. But there are still things that make me nervous. "Something else, I don't know any Korean!" I remind him. Jungkook laughs, "That's okay! Half of our crew is English." "Really?" I ask. Jungkook nods, "Yes. But if you want to learn any Korean - it's really hard so I suggest you not to - but if you really want to, every single one of us will be happy to help you." I smile thankfully, "Thank you."

I turn the fire underneath the eggs and the bacon a little lower. "Besides, you'll be with us. You'll be okay," Jungkook smiles. I look at him and laugh. "That's part of the problem! I have to hide my relationship with Tae!" I remind him, "How am I supposed to do that? I mean, I guess we can still hug, because we're friends. But what if I fail? What if I can't hide my feelings well enough?"
