Part Thirty-Eight 삼십팔

When the song ends, Sophie and Daniel make a bow to everyone and everyone cheers. The band starts another song and more people start to dance or take a seat on the chairs. Taehyung turns to me. "Let's get a drink," he says. I nod and follow him to the bar. Taehyung gets a Cola and hands me a glass of champagne. "Thank you," I say with a smile. I take a sip of the champagne, damn, it is really good!

Taehyung looks at something behind me and smiles. I turn around as well and see a happy Sophie coming towards us. She is still wearing her pretty, white dress. "Hey!" I smile. "Hey Ali!" Sophie says and gives me a hug. Taehyung quickly takes the champagne from me for safety. I hug Sophie back.

"You look incredible," I tell her as we let go. I take a look at her and smile wide. Sophie smiles wide. "Thank you! We took some photos this morning and they look really, really good," she says, "Not that I'm trying to brag!" We all laugh. "You're the bride, you are allowed to brag!" I tell her.

Then Sophie turns to Taehyung. "How rude of me! I haven't introduced myself yet," she says, "Sorry, girltalk is very important!" Taehyung laughs, puts his glass on the bar and shakes Sophie's hand. "No worries! I'm Taehyung," he introduces himself. Sophie smiles wide, "Nice to meet you, I'm Sophie."

Sophie looks at me. "So he is your..." She starts, but I interrupt her. "My friend," I tell her, "He is my friend." Sophie looks a little confused, so I wink at her. Sophie smiles wide and nods. "Right, your friend," she says. She looks back at Taehyung "Nice to meet you, friend of Ali!" she smiles. Taehyung laughs, "Nice to meet you too!"

Daniel appears behind Sophie. "Here you are!" He laughs. Sophie laughs, "I needed to talk to my friends!" Daniel laughs and puts his hands on Sophie's hips. I can't help but feel a little jealous when I see them like this. I wish I could be like that with Taehyung...

Daniel looks at me. "Hey Alyssa! How are you?" He asks. I smile at him, "Hey! I am great, thank you! The ceremony was beautiful, by the way." Daniel smiles, "Thank you! And thank you for coming!" Then he looks at Sophie, "Can I be selfish and make you come with me?" Sophie giggles, "Of course!"

They both look at Taehyung and me. "See you later!" Sophie says. I smile wide, "Have fun!" Sophie and Daniel walk away together. I turn to back around to Taehyung. He hands me my glass again. "Thank you," I tell him and take another sip. Taehyung smiles wide and looks at me. "Sophie looks really sweet," he says. "She is! She is very energetic, but she is amazing and an incredibly sweet person," I tell him.

"Do you know the guy as well?" He asks. I shake my head, "Not really. Sophie talks about him a lot, but I've only seen him a few times before." Taehyung nods and takes a sip of his drink. He looks around in the room. "Do you know much people here?" He asks. "No," I tell him, "Just Sophie. I don't know the others." Then I see Mick again and I sigh. "And someone I wish I didn't know," I joke. Taehyung laughs.

He puts his glass back on the bar and offers me his hand. I look at him and feel a little confused. "Let's dance," he says. I smile wide and feel my heartbeat speed up. "Are you sure?" I ask him. Taehyung laughs, "Yes! It's a wedding and we're friends. Friends dance at weddings!" I laugh and put my glass on the bar. "You're right!" I smile.

Taehyung grabs my hand and I follow him to the dance floor. Like it was meant to be, a slow song starts, I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz. Taehyung turns around to me and puts his hands on my hips. I put my hands in his neck and try to keep my distance, while I actually don't want to. I can't help but smile as we slowly dance to the music.

Since the first time I heard this song, I loved it. It always made me a little emotional. But it's so beautiful and to be dancing to this song, on a wedding, with Taehyung... is like a dream... Taehyung holds me close to him and has his head next to mine. I hear how he softly sings along with the song. I close my eyes and listen to his beautiful voice singing this beautiful song while we keep dancing.
