Part Eighty-Four 여든사

Today is the day. Today is the day my dreamlife will start, or actually continue. Okay, maybe I sound too pathetic. But it does feel like that. My life without Taehyung was fine, but not good enough. I need him in my life. So I am incredibly happy that I get to see him again today. Not that he knows it, though. He still thinks I am only able to join him in two more weeks. Little does he know, I will be standing right in front of him tonight.

Today it's Saturday and the guys have a concert in Fort Worth. So that's where I am headed. Together with Kaylee and Mitch I got tickets to fly to them. Mitch will pick me up from the airport and drive me to the concert hall. Only Mitch and Kaylee know I am coming today. We didn't want anyone else to know, because the chance would be bigger that someone would accidentally tell any of the BTS-members and spoil the surprise.

I stand in the kitchen and look at all my stuff. Damn, I have a lot of stuff! I have a huge suitcase and a bag filled with my stuff. Since I will practically live with the crew during the tour, I need to bring a lot. Luckily I don't need to bring any food, towels, kitchen supplies or anything like that. I just need my clothes, my toilet bag and my personal belongings. Since I can't bring all of my clothes, Kaylee promised me we would go shopping every once in a while.

"Are you ready?" Yana asks me. I check again if I have everything and nod. "I am!" I tell her. Yana grabs my bag as I grab my suitcase. We go outside and get into her car. Yana offered to drive me to the airport today, so my car wouldn't have to stay at the parking lot there.

"You have to make a lot of photo's! Not just for them, but also for me. So please send some to me every now and then," Yana smiles as we hit the road. I laugh, "Of course! And I hope I can invite you to see a concert in another country. That would be real fun!" Yana smiles wide, "Yes it would, but if you can't, that's fine as well. We went to one show together and I will relive that day a million times!" "Me too!" I tell her.

During our drive to the airport, we play BTS music. We both sing and – kinda – dance along to the songs. As she sings her heart out to DNA, I look at her and smile. Even though I am incredibly excited to go to Taehyung and the others, I will miss Yana terribly. She is my best friend and I have lived with her for a few years. She has been a huge part of my life. Not to forget she was nearly everything I had these last few months. I can't even imagine what my life would look like if I didn't have her...

But starting today, we have to go our separate ways. She will stay here in L.A. and live her life as a chef with Jim and I will travel the world as a photographer with BTS and their crew. We won't be able to laugh, sing or have fun together for a long time. At least, not in person. I will make sure to call her as often as possible!

As we arrive to the airport, I feel tears burning in my eyes. I get my bag and suitcase out of the car and sigh deeply. I don't even know how I will say goodbye to her... We never had to say goodbye like this before...

Yana looks at me and smiles, it feels like she is thinking the same thing. "You can do this," she says, "You will live the life of your dreams and you will be the happiest version of yourself." I smile wide and wrap my arms around her. "And you will live a life as the happiest chef with your amazing man next to you," I tell her. Yana laughs, "Yes, I will. We will both be happy." I sigh, "I wish I could take you with me though..."

Yana laughs, "Well, if they ever need a chef, I am happy to apply!" I laugh as well, "Maybe we'll need two, so Jim can join as well." Yana laughs, "Yes. I need him there with me." "Of course, he needs you as well. Nobody can live without you..." I tell her. As I feel a tear roll down my face, I hold Yana a little tighter. Yana holds me tighter as well. "I love you so much," Yana tells me, "And I am so proud of you!" "I love you too," I tell her, "More than you'll ever know! And I am also proud of you! I wish I could stay with you..."
