Part One Hundred and Twelve 백십이

A few weeks later I stand at the airport. This time not with the rest of the BTS crew, but just with Kaylee. Luckily we're not flying out or leaving without the rest of the BTS crew. No, today we're picking someone up from the airport. Not just anyone, but my best friend Yana.

After all these months apart, we're finally able to reunite again. Since we both have very busy jobs, it was hard for both of us to get some time off and visit each other. But today is the day. Today Yana flew to Taiwan, where we currently are. She will stay with us for a few days and we will finally be able to spend time together, just like old times.

"Do you remember what she looks like?" Kaylee jokes. I look at her and laugh. "I hope so!" I tell her, "We've seen each other on Face time a few times, but she might've changed her whole look since then!" Kaylee laughs as well, "You never know!"

I look back at the closed doors. Every now and then a few people come through the doors and are welcomed by their family, friends or a cab driver. Yana's flight landed a while ago, so she could be the next person to come through these doors... Or maybe the one after that, or the one after that...

I am going crazy. I haven't seen this woman in way too long. Before I left to tour with BTS, we spent every single day together. Obviously, because we lived together. But also before then, before we bought a house together. We were always very close and we hang out like every single day. I can't believe I haven't seen her in months...

After what feels like hours, the doors open and I see her bright smile and shining eyes. "Ali!" She calls when she sees me. "Yana!" I call and run towards her. Yana laughs and throws her bagage on the floor to run to me as well. When our bodies collide, we wrap our arms around each other and hug each other tight.

I feel her arms around me and the warmth of her body against mine. I feel happiness all over my body. I have missed her so damn much! And now she is here with me again! I can't control my emotions and let a few tears escape from my eyes. I hold her even closer and bury my face in her neck and her soft hair.

"I've missed you so much," I tell her with a broken voice. Yana laughs a little, "I've missed you too!" I hear her voice crack as well and a few seconds later, I feel how she starts to sob. We just stand there, hugging each other for a few minutes, ignoring the entire world around us.

When we let go again and look at each other, I see tears rolling down her face. Yana laughs a little and wipes her tears of her cheeks. I do the same and keep looking at her. "Is it really you? Are you really here?" I ask her. Yana smiles and grabs my hand. "I am really here," she says. I smile wide and squeeze her hand softly. "It's been so long..." I tell her, trying not to burst out in tears.

Kaylee walks up to us and smiles wide. "Hey Yana, great to see you again!" Kaylee says. Yana looks at her and laughs, "Great to see you too! Sorry for our emotional moment!" They both laugh and give each other a hug. "No, no worries, I completely understand!" Kaylee smiles.

They both let go again and Yana grabs her bagage. "Let's go to a more private spot, shall we?" Kaylee suggests. Yana and I laugh and nod. "Yeah, good idea, before they will kick us out," I joke. We all laugh and go to the rental car. Since we'll all stay here in Taiwan for a while, Kaylee got a rental car to go places. Since Yana is here with us these days, it would be great to actually see something of this country. A rental car makes that a lot easier.

"So how is everything at home? How is Jim?" I ask Yana when Kaylee starts to drive. "Everything is great! Jim is also doing great. He is a head chef now and he works a lot, but he is doing great and we are able to spend a lot of time together," she says. "I'm glad! Too bad he couldn't join you on this trip," I say. Yana nods, "Yes, he really wanted to come with me, but his job couldn't let him. But it's okay. We will be able to have a little vacation together soon!"
