Part Ninety-Five 아흔오

Later that day, I sit on the couch with Yeontan. Earlier, Taehyung and I raced to the island in the middle of the lake. But it was a lot farther than either of us imagined. So in the end we swam there together and stopped the race. We did reach the island, but since we got there at the same time, neither of us won. Or we both won, that's just how you wanna look at it.

Now I sit on the couch, looking at social media for a bit. Taehyung is outside. He is busy practicing a new dance routine. After our trip, they will shoot their new music video for their new song, which holds a dance routine. Taehyung really wants to get the routine right before we go back home, so he is outside practicing right now.

I look at the time and see it is nearly time to start cooking dinner. I look out the window and see Taehyung practicing, so I decide not to interrupt him. I go into the kitchen and look what we have for dinner. I decide to make some pasta for dinner. So I put on some music and start to cook.

After about half an hour, the food is ready. I go outside and see how Taehyung is still practicing. "Hey babe, dinner is ready!" I tell him. Taehyung looks at me and smiles. I see some sweat on his face and he looks out of breath. "You made dinner already? Aw, thanks baby!" He says. He grabs a towel and cleans his face.

"Yes I did. How is it going with the routine?" I ask him. Taehyung's smile disappears and he sighs. "Not so well. It is a lot easier with the others and with Jesse around," he says, "But I'll get there. Jesse made a video of the routine for me, so I can practice while looking at that." I smile, "That is very kind of Jesse!" Taehyung laughs, "Yes. I think I nearly have the first part of the routine, though!"

I smile wide, "That's great! Good work!" Taehyung smiles back at me, "Thanks! But I have a long way to go to get it as good as possible." I nod, "Yes, but you will get there. Shall we have dinner now first?" Taehyung looks a bit doubtful. "I actually really want to practice this part a few more times, I nearly got it," he says. I look at him and feel a bit worried. "Are you sure? You can always continue after dinner, right?" I ask.

Taehyung smiles kindly at me. "Yeah, but I'd really like to continue now if you don't mind," he says, "Why don't you start eating and I will be right there with you!" I shake my head, "No, I can wait for you, no problem." But Taehyung laughs and shakes his head as well. "No, really babe, just go eat already, you must be hungry. Why don't you start that show you wanted to watch as well? I promise, I will be right there with you!" He says.

I nod, "Okay. Only if you are sure." Taehyung walks over to me and puts his hands on my hips. "I am sure. I'll just need a few more minutes," he says. He puts a kiss on my cheek. I smile at him and put my hands in his neck, but then I am reminded that he is a little sweaty.

Taehyung lets go of me when he remembers that he is sweaty as well and laughs a little. "Go have dinner, baby, I'll be right there with you," he says. I smile and nod. "Okay, but don't blame me if you missed an important part of that show!" I joke. Taehyung laughs, "I won't!"

As Taehyung continues to practice the dance routine again, I stay and watch for a few seconds, but then go inside again. I make myself a plate of pasta and take a seat on the couch. I turn on the tv and look for a show to watch. I decide to watch 'How I Met Your Mother' and start to eat.

When another episode ends, I look outside. I didn't even realise it already turned dark. I look at the time and realise I just watched five episodes already. But Taehyung is still not here. Where is he? Is he still practicing?

I stand up from the couch and go outside. I was right, Taehyung is still practicing. He has a little light from the house, but mostly stands in the dark. He looks up as I come closer to him. "Hey babe! I almost got it!" He smiles wide. The sweat drips down his face as he grabs a water bottle and takes a sip.
