After breaking down on Brett's shoulder, Eddy lost all will to stay calm. He had been crying for hours on end. Eddy had cried so much that tears wouldn't even come out anymore. All he could do was the next best thing, which was burrowing under the blankets. It was now his dwelling.

Brett had gotten some of the guards to go get some ice cream and bubble tea from the shop, and he had left Eddy under the blankets for a few minutes to go get everything from them as well as some spoons. He was happy Eddy was making himself comfortable, but he wanted him to get some fluids in him. Brett's shirt was completely drenched in Eddy's tears, so he could only imagine how dehydrated the man was. That's why he was trying to get everything back upstairs as quickly as he could, practically running back up the stairs once he had everything.
Eddy peaked from under the blanket when he heard the thumping of Brett sprinting up the stairs. He then pulled it back over his head.

Brett knocked on the door, waiting for an answer before opening it like he always did. Eddy was his guest, not his prisoner anymore. It was a bit difficult while holding a tub of ice cream, two bubble teas and two spoons though.
"It's just me. Can I come in?" he asked through the door, not wanting to barge in.

"You can come in," Eddy croaked, his throat felt so dry.

"Hey," Brett said softly after he had carefully opened the door. He only met the pile of blankets Eddy had buried himself in, but it was understandable he wanted to hide from the world given the circumstances. "I've got some ice cream and some bubble tea for us."

Once again Eddy slowly poked his head from out of under the pile of blankets he had cocooned himself in, "What flavor?"

At least he still had some sort of appetite.

"I got cookies and cream ice cream and brown sugar bubble tea," Brett informed him with a small smile, sitting down on the edge of his bed. "Hope that's okay, otherwise I'll just get what you want."

Eddy shifted to free his hands too, then made grabby hands at Brett. He wanted to sulk and drown himself in bubble tea, "I like those flavors. Thank you."

Brett handed Eddy the bubble tea first and then shifted to sit cross legged on Eddy's bed with his back against one of the bedposts before putting the ice cream tub between them.
"I hope you don't mind letting me have a taste of the ice cream. I brought my own spoon," he said with another tiny smile. "But if you want it to yourself, I guess that's understandable too."

"I don't mind," Eddy stabbed the straw through the lid of the bubble tea then tried to burrow back under his blankets. He could totally drink it from hiding under there. At least Eddy thought he could do it, "Thank you again."
The pile of blankets talked to its host.

"Of course, Eddy. I'm gonna take care of you until you feel better," Brett assured again, stabbing the lid of his own bubble tea. It still felt kind of unbelievable to him that anyone would just throw away Eddy the way Alex seemingly had. Absolutely insane. "If there's anything I can do to make it better, please just let me know and I'll do what I can to make it happen."

"Is running me over with your fancy car still out of the question, " Eddy sniffled slightly, of course it only looked like the blankets were moving and sniffling. He was now one with the blankets that were piled on top of him.

"I'm afraid so, yeah. I don't want to hurt you more, I want to help you feel better," Brett said softly, already having answered that question a few times that day. He took a long sip of his bubble tea, closing his eyes for a moment and just taking in the taste. "But if there's anything you need, I'll try and get that to you. Or if you just want a hug or anything."

"Okay," Eddy wished that the answer would change, but it hadn't. He would try to ask Brett again the next day, "But maybe you could find a way to get some of my stuff...Just since there's sentimental value in things. Also because I guess I need to find a new place to live."
His voice broke slightly so he started sipping his bubble tea again.
