The drive was quite calm. Traffic wasn't too bad, the car was doing fine despite its rough treatment, and nobody seemed to have followed them. The Gold Coast was starting in the distance, and Victor felt quite ready to get to the hotel and lay down for a bit.

As they were nearing the outskirts of town, though, his stomach decided to remind him he hadn't eaten at all that day with a loud growl.
"Mind stopping and grabbing something edible on the way in?" Victor asked his passenger, who hadn't really said much since they got out of there. Victor didn't mind, as the silence had been comfortable.

"Nah I don't mind," Alex shrugged a bit, he was wondering if Brett and Eddy had made it alive. He was worried but he didn't want to talk about it yet. He was sure if Brett had made it out alive he would inform Victor. Then if he was very much dead then they wouldn't hear anything from Brett.

"Anywhere you'd like to stop?" Victor asked, deciding it was only polite to ask his passenger what he wanted. Besides, he himself ate pretty much anything that was decently made. Except for certain kinds of sushi and very spicy stuff. He could get those down too, though, if he wanted to.

"Nah I don't have any specifics really." Alex leaned back against the seat with a hum , "As you could imagine I don't eat out that much. Only special occasions really."
Usually it was just take out with Eddy. Sometimes sitting on roofs while doing stake outs while eating Chinese take out. That was always the best part of stake outs. They would eat, talk and laugh like they weren't doing serious business.

"I can imagine. Mind grabbing my phone and seeing if there's anything nearby like... italian, or like pizza maybe? Like, restaurants or whatever," Victor asked, pointing to his phone lying in the cup holder between them.

"I don't mind, " Alex hummed softly, he reached out to grab Victor's phone, "Pizza and Italian food is always good, I think. "
He turned Victor's phone on so he could look for something they could eat.

"Passcode is 1309," Victor informed him, not thinking much about having given up his passcode to Alex. He felt like he could trust Alex, which was funny because he didn't really trust anyone with private stuff like that.

Alex nodded as he punched it in, "Aight, thanks. Do you have cravings more for pizza or Italian or for whatever is closer?"
He thought he might as well ask since he didn't have a strong preference.

"Depends. I think Italian should be enjoyed at the restaurant while pizza should be brought back to the hotel," Victor stated with a small shrug. "So I suppose it depends on whether you wanna go to a restaurant and eat or bring stuff back for more privacy."

"Pizza it is then, there's eyes everywhere and I prefer not to get into another gun fight," Alex sighed softly. Especially after causing such a scene it was best not to be spotted. It would probably get a bit messy to get spotted by field agents.

"Alright. What's closer to the hotel?" Victor asked as he pulled into town. He was kind of familiar with where they were going, as he had stayed there once before he met Brett. Nothing too fancy, but not super bad either.

"A place called Luigi's Pizzeria. Could be good," Alex wondered if Victor knew of it since he seemed to know where they were going. He figured the man knew the area. Alex knew the area on a technical aspect of layout but he never spent time in the area. Knowing something hypothetically was different from knowing it on a personal level.

"Yeah, they're good. Let's do that one," Victor agreed, coming to a stop at a red light. "Mind calling in and ordering? We'll be there in like ten minutes and I'd rather not sit in the parking lot if I don't have to."
