Meeting

"What the hell are we gonna have a meeting about, anyway?" Victor muttered to himself as he walked quickly down the guards' corridor to fetch Inu like boss had asked him to. He had an inkling it was going to be something related to their house guest, which wasn't his favourite reason, but if it was important to his boss he'd just roll with it.
He opened the door to the break room, looking inside to see if Inu was there. Thankfully, he was. Victor wasn't interested in searching the whole house.
"Yo, boss wanted us for a meeting," he said, leaning on the doorframe.

Inu looked at him with a raised eyebrow, "A meeting?"

He got up from where he sat with his coffee. This was a bit confusing. They rarely had meetings. At least at this time of day. He grabbed his coffee, walking over to Victor, "I guess this wasn't a planned meeting, huh?"

"Definitely not, he just grabbed me as I walked in the door," Victor said, spotting the cup of coffee in Inu's hand. "Did you make a pot of that?"

"I did if you want any," Inu smiled a bit, "What room is the meeting in?"

He would either wait for Victor or go to the meeting to check it out.

"Just in the living room. Dining room table," Victor said, going to pour himself a cup. He definitely wanted his coffee. He had just gotten to work, after all. It was part of his routine to start with a coffee.

"So it's informal," Inu murmured, he wouldn't worry too much about it. He was wondering why Brett was gathering them. He guessed that Victor wouldn't know either.

"Seems like it. Ray and Eddy are there as well," Victor confirmed as the dark, life saving liquid filled his cup. To say he was excited about his coffee was an understatement. He tried not to think about how weak it would be, though, as Inu was the one who made it. He could deal with that.

"Oh, those two seem to get along. It's kinda odd,"

Inu thought he actually saw them together the other day or so. They were just talking and the assassin bad at his job was just giggling and smiling. It was a different look for a killer. Not like they were entirely better but he would like to believe they had more morals.

"Yeah, I guess so," Victor mumbled, taking his cup. "You're right, it is weird. Maybe that's part of the reason we're having a meeting. Lord knows. It could be anything at this point, I suppose."

"Boss seems fond of Eddy too though so I kinda doubt that." Unless the two together did something extremely bad, "But yeah it could be anything. I guess we should walk over, huh?"

Inu walked out of the break room.

"Yup," Victor nodded, following him with his hands securely wrapped around his cup.

Eddy was a bit anxious, he didn't exactly feel good about meeting with Brett's employees. He tried to kill their boss twice!!! They probably weren't going to hear any of it out and it could go south really quick. Really quick. At least Ray kinda liked him. Or at least he was really nice. Eddy felt comfortable with Ray and Brett at least.

Ray could tell Eddy was nervous. It was obvious from miles away from the way he picked on his clothes to running his hand through his hair for the millionth time. Or maybe Ray just was good at picking up people's nervousness?
On the other side of that was the boss. He felt off, even though he looked and spoke the way he normally would. He didn't know how to ask about that, though, so he settled on giving Eddy an assuring smile.

Eddy glanced at Ray so he smiled a bit back, but when Inu and Victor came into the room he bowed his head. He would like to avoid eye contact.

"Hey, sorry for the short notice," Brett told his two guards with a polite smile. He had his laptop ready for any necessary information, and he had a notepad to write down their bullet points. He really just needed everyone on board first and then they would figure out how to go about it. "Have a seat."
