Alex listened to the phone ring, he felt antsy as the sound seemed to echo in the small apartment. Anxiously he rubbed his face, he knew he needed to pick up, knew he needed to answer Eddy's call. He knew he needed to talk to him but he was so nervous. What if he hurt Eddy!? Again!? He already did it once by pushing him out the door, but he couldn't let him be seen by their handler though. That would have been far more disastrous. It was still disastrous when the man had caught Eddy off guard.

With a deep breath he carefully took the phone, putting it on speaker so Victor could hear. The man was sitting on the couch as Alex prompted to pace around instead. It helped him get focused.

"Alex?" He heard the soft voice that brought him to ease many times, this time it didn't serve to ease him. Instead it made his anxiety spike up more, "Hey Eddy."

Alex wondered if Eddy could hear him pacing. He hated feeling anxious, he was always this cocky confident person and then everything Eddy always broke him down. Victor could tell he was nervous too, watching him pace as he tried to figure out how to best provide comfort.

Alex was quick to open his mouth again," We need to talk."
He was a bit startled when he heard Eddy's voice echoing his own, echoing the same words. What was it that Eddy wanted to talk about!? Was it bad, was it good? Was he okay or was something wrong? Or maybe he was on the same page. If he was lucky that would be what it was.

"Oh uh, how about you go first," Eddy seemed just as uncertain if the throat clearing told him anything. Or he was at least just as surprised that they said those fateful words at the same time.

"Well I've been thinking, what if the longer we hold on the harder it will get to let go," Alex said as calmly as he could, trying to mask all the weird spikes of energy he felt. As he paced there was some bounce to his step, not a happy bouncy but a bounce nonetheless.

"So you're saying it's time to let go," Oh Eddy, sweet, sweet, scary Eddy was straight to the point, feeling like it was cutting right through him! He wondered if the man knew that he had this effect on him or if he was completely clueless.

"Yeah that is what I'm saying," Alex waited with bated breath to see how Eddy would react. Trying to see if he would scream, cry or maybe feel the same. The younger sounded somewhat calm but then again he could just be quiet and brooding, not letting his emotions slip like the spy and assassin he was trained to be.

"You know, I've been thinking the same thing," with those words a sudden relief washed over Alex, stilling him. Allowing him to flop back on the couch with a breath he didn't even know he was holding. Victor smiled a bit, feeling the relief along with Alex, and placed a large hand carefully on his knee, stroking his leg with his thumb.

"That it's time to say goodbye, but only romantically," Eddy continued as if finally releasing Alex from the frenzy he worked himself up into.

"We were friends before and you were still my friend during our relationship. I want you to still be my friend now," Alex tilted his head back, looking up at the ceiling, that was one thing he didn't think would change for the worse. He knew it would change as someone else filled the spot of closeness but Eddy would still be a good friend.

"It would seem I'm officially breaking up with you then," Eddy was a very lovable goofball sometimes. Making the situation feel less taxing emotionally.

"And I formally accept, now scurry off and do every single things," Alex snorted, shaking his head, he was glad that Eddy could manage to be goofy in this, that he took it with such ease"Oh I will, do very single stuff," Alex was sure he could hear a teasing undertone in Eddy's voice. Almost a dirty one, oh it sounded like Eddy would be doing something alright."You do that, bye," Alex heard the line go clear, as the man on the other end hung up. Alex couldn't help but laugh to himself as he glanced at Victor, "Well that went well, huh?"Victor shifted his hand from his knee to instead sneak around Alex's waist, and Alex let himself lean on the bigger man now that it was all over.
