The room had slowly gotten lighter as the sun began creeping through the too transparent curtains. It wasn't too bad waking up, though, Victor thought. He was surprisingly comfortable given the fact this definitely wasn't his own bed. This bed was a bit too short, and maybe a bit too narrow. He had a pretty nice pillow to cling to, though, he thought in his half asleep state. It was kind of half resting on top of him, weighing him down slightly. He found he enjoyed that, so he didn't move. The fact that there had been no such pillow on the bed the night before didn't cross his mind at all. He just knew he thought it was nice. Said pillow was Alex, but seeing as he was also asleep he couldn't complain about it. Rather he snored softly. He absorbed the warmth that was given to him. It was his for the taking.
It took quite a bit of time before Victor gained enough consciousness to actually begin perceiving anything other than 'this is comfortable'. The weird part about his new pillow was that it wasn't soft all over. Some parts of it felt harder than others, and there was definitely something tickling his collarbones. He slowly opened his eyes to investigate, blinking a few times to help his eyes adjust to the relatively bright room. When he realized what was actually happening, though, he froze. Why did this feel okay, or... well, rather nice? And was Alex actually okay with that? Should he move away? Surely this was an accident, right?
Victor didn't know, and ended up just lying there. Alex stirred a bit when Victor's breathing changed. He was a fairly light sleeper where he could notice changes in the room or those he shared a bed with. He had to be sensitive to those things. He never knew if someone would stab him in his sleep or maybe Eddy would have nightmares. Alex always wanted to be there for his man or be able to protect himself and those he cared about.
He blinked his eyes open silently, almost disappointed that it wasn't Eddy's warmth he was sharing, but he wouldn't take his disappointment out on anyone. It would just silently linger in the back of his brain.Victor saw Alex open his eyes, and for a split second he felt disappointed about the fact that Alex likely would move away now. It didn't last long before he pushed that thought aside, though. He had been alone before. Most of his life, in fact. Why would it matter if Alex moved away? Hell, even if he was angry and disgusted by this, why would it matter? It wasn't like Victor cared about Alex anyway, right? Victor didn't need anyone to enjoy being close to him.
He still didn't say anything, though, not really knowing what to say."Hmm, good morning," Alex said simply before separating himself from Victor. It was only weird if he made it weird. Thus he wouldn't say anything. Things were bound to happen when a bed was shared. He was aware of that. Although he rather be sharing his bed with his boyfriend while he still had him.
"Morning," Victor mumbled, shifting to grab his phone from the night stand when Alex moved away. He was fine, he was just a bit shaken up from the events the day before. That was probably all. And maybe it reminded him a bit about how his younger siblings would come to him for comfort at night if they had nightmares. It had nothing to do with Alex, probably. He wasn't disappointed that Alex was all casual about it at all. "Slept well?"
"Yeah, " Alex was a man of few words. Even less words than Victor. It was just his nature to be silent and observant. Although he was pretty sure that was the first eight hours he got to sleep in forever. He didn't even get that much sleep as a kid. He was always awake it felt like.
"Good, good," Victor mumbled, pushing himself up to sit on the edge of the bed. He didn't look back at Alex for now, not sure what to make of that slight nausea in the bottom of his stomach. Or... it wasn't really nausea, but it was the best word he had to describe it. "You gonna use the shower first?"
"You can first if you want," Alex sat up a bit, he didn't really care which, Victor was already sitting up like he wanted to go. Thus Alex wouldn't keep him from doing something he wanted. Really he was just ready to stake out like he knew how to do.
"Alright," Victor mumbled, standing up. He went over to his suitcase to grab himself some sweatpants, a hoodie and fresh underwear before disappearing into the bathroom. He was fine. Maybe a bit surprised by Alex being so close when he woke up, but it didn't matter. He would shake it off, and it was fine. It didn't matter.
Alex threw his legs off the edge of the bed then got up, he stretched himself, hearing his back crack as he did, "Hmm."
Yeah that crack was nice. It made him feel a bit better, then he walked to the window. He pulled the curtains back to peek out. Too bad he didn't bring his scope or he would have been looking out through for possible targets.Victor pulled off the shorts and underwear he had been sleeping in, turning the water to cold before stepping in. He needed to wake up, needed to be reminded of the real world. Not this new, weird world where his brain was being strange.
