The room was slowly getting lighter, pulling Victor slowly out of his sleep. He absolutely didn't mind, though, despite being a man who really appreciated his sleep. The comfort of having Alex' head resting heavily against his chest, and the soft sound of his snores made being awake worth it. It was nice. Very nice. Nice to the extent where Victor didn't know enough words in English to describe it. This was worth waking up for, and based on the colour of the sunlight peeking in between the curtains, he was up earlier than he normally would be. He didn't mind at all. He got a bit of extra time where Alex was all close.
They had been doing this for the past few days. Waking up together and just staying all close, listening to each other's breathing, saying some soft 'good morning's. It was the perfect start of the day, and Victor felt like the luckiest man in the world to get to have it. He enjoyed being close with Alex. He didn't really know why that was, but that detail wasn't important to him either.
As soon as Victor's breathing pattern changed, Alex's eyes snapped open. He was a man of habit if anything, "Hmm morning already?"
He broke the silence and probably Victor's euphoric moment. He was ready to get up and go home.
Victor smiled a bit when he heard Alex' voice. It was maybe a bit more upbeat than normal, but he honestly felt quite upbeat himself. It was nice waking up like this.
"Seems like it, yeah," he said softly, considering for a moment if running his fingers through Alex' hair would be okay or if that would be crossing some lines."Let's pack those cards then, to stuff in the bag," Alex smiled lazily as he moved out of Victor's arms, "We could also get hotel breakfast."
He noticed that it was still early so they probably had time to eat then leave. Alex didn't have to eat much but Victor was a big guy so he wouldn't starve him."Oh uh, sure," Victor said, his smile fading a bit when Alex shifted away. No nice close time? Had he done something he shouldn't have? He couldn't think of anything. "It's a bit early still, though..."
"I guess it is, but honestly, I'm awake and already a bit antsy," Alex was at least honest with how he was feeling now. He couldn't help but feel antsy to get out there. Alex wanted to make sure that Eddy was actually okay and that Brett took care of him. Also it probably didn't hurt to check if Brett was okay himself since he was the one that went into the building to save Eddy. It would be common courtesy and a good thing to do if Brett really did take care of Eddy.
"Okay, then," Victor said, maybe a bit more quietly than he normally would speak. His stomach was doing a thing, but this time it wasn't the nice tickles he usually got when he was with Alex. It was more like nausea. Unpleasant. "Let's just get going, then."
"Alright," Alex nodded as he got up and went to grab the deck of cards they talked about stealing. He also got himself dressed. He was excited to see his puppy like man.~
Eddy watched Brett's small form slip out of the bed and towards the door. Someone had called at this early hour. He was barely awake! Eddy assumed it must be business related since Brett seemed to be up at ungodly hours of the morning. He was an early riser. All Eddy knew was that he felt groggy and lost his personal heater.
With a little whine to himself he wrapped himself more in the blankets and rolled to his side."Oh really? That's awesome news," Brett said into the phone, turning to Eddy when he heard a little whine. He gave him a small smile. "He just woke up. I'll let him know. I'm sure he'll be happy to hear that."
Eddy full on pouted at Brett from where he was under the covers, his cuddles were interrupted! Although he did faintly register what Brett was saying. He stared intensely as he pouted and waited for him to return.
"Alright, I'll see you soon," Brett said, hanging up the phone. He put it on the nightstand and headed over to the bed again, sitting down on the edge. If he was honest, he wasn't as happy about the information he had as he wanted Eddy to think he was.
"I've got some good news," he told Eddy with a small smile."What is it?" Eddy yawned, his pout breaking for a moment before it settled back on his lips. He was actually sleeping pretty well due to having a fever for a bit. It had died down though which was good but not for his peaceful sleep.
Brett took a deep breath and gave Eddy the smile news like this deserved despite his own worries about it.
"Alex and Victor are coming back from the Gold Coast today," he said softly, half expecting Eddy to bounce out of bed and jump with joy. He hoped he'd stay calm, though, as he wasn't completely out of the woods with the infection just yet.Eddy's pout was now completely gone, he grinned big and wide although it was a bit tired,"Really? In how soon?"
He didn't jump up and down like Brett thought he would at least.
"This afternoon, maybe even sooner," Brett said, thinking that grin had to be worth it. It just had to, no matter how much it hurt that Eddy was so excited to have Alex back after all they'd been through the past week, maybe a bit more.
Eddy giggled to himself as his eyes lit up and his grin lingered, "I'm so happy."
He was still tired so he wasn't as energetic as he could be. He put his feelings into the simple words instead, which were communicated a bit like a child. But Eddy was really happy, he had been worried about Alex. Although he thought they were probably alright.
"I'm happy to hear that," Brett said softly, reaching over to stroke Eddy's well arm slightly. He couldn't really say that was completely true.
