Eddy made sure to conceal a gun and a knife on his person, maybe he should have done that before getting dressed. It was too late though when he had actually thought about leaving the mansion and what it entailed. Even if he had thought that they should probably disguise themselves. It was better safe than sorry. Man wasn't about to get kidnapped again! He couldn't go through that again, it would kill him.... So here he was, arming himself as he waited by the front door, growing a bit more anxious, as he waited for Brett to join him.
"Okay, I'm ready," Brett said as he came downstairs. "Does it look okay?"
He had sorted his hair out, which was what he had told Eddy he'd be doing, and he had put on just a tiny hint of cologne, telling himself it wasn't really too over the top to do so. Maybe it was, but who cared? He wanted to be attractive to his man as they went on their first proper date. It was exciting! The blue shirt he was wearing had the top two buttons unbuttoned after having put on the cologne, and maybe also to show his neck, to tempt Eddy just a little.
Eddy turned his head to look at Brett, it felt like he was prince charming seeing Cinderella step into the ball for the first time. He had seen Brett upstairs but he still was just so breathtaking. It eased Eddy's soul, feeling a calmness when Brett was with him, "You look stunning, Brett.""You think so?" Brett asked, feeling shy when Eddy looked so in love seeing him. He stepped down the last few steps and came over, carefully taking his hand. "It's not too much, then? I feel like I overstyled my hair."
"I do think so, it all looks good. " Eddy smiled gently at him, "You're a very handsome man you know? Everything you did just accentuates that natural beauty."
Brett smiled shyly up at him.
"You're talking," he hummed, shaking his head a bit. "I'm gonna be so shy if you keep talking like that, you know."
"Well apparently you need to hear it more," Eddy gently took Brett's hand into his own, rubbing his knuckles with his thumb, "So you stop feeling so shy when I say things like that."
Eddy gently kissed Brett's cheek, just wanting to show him affection and take care of him like he hadn't before.Brett leaned slightly against him, wanting to be close, but also to hide his face as it warmed up more.
"You're so good to me," he exhaled slowly, feeling safe and happy with Eddy - which was kind of crazy, given that it wasn't all that long since he had tried to kill him. "I'm not sure how I managed to deserve you, but somehow here you are. Feels like a dream."Tried to kill him multiple times at that! It wasn't just once but multiple times, "Well I wonder the same thing sometimes. How I deserve you and all."
"Well, you're wonderful and smart and clever and good," Brett hummed softly, reaching his hand up to stroke Eddy's cheek. "Of course you deserve me, or anyone else who'd make you happy."
"I'm also crazy as some would say, and a mass murderer," Eddy hummed softly as he listened to Brett, he had his downfalls that certainly would be off putting to someone outside of the criminal world. Off putting enough to keep him out of the dating scene.
"I don't care about any of that, Eddy," Brett assured softly, stroking his cheek. "I had your hands on my neck, squeezing until everything went dark, and my last thoughts were still filled with love for you. There's nothing you could've done that would make me not love you anymore."
Whether that was healthy or not was a different story. A story Brett wasn't too bothered with looking into.Eddy closed his eyes a little as Brett talked about it, he didn't like to think about it but he knew he had to face his own actions. After all there were consequences for things he did, "That's definitely a point to the crazy category, considering I didn't kill you. Still sorry about that, really."
Eddy for sure saw it as a pretty bad thing because he had been with an abusive prick, he didn't want to be one that hurt Brett and Brett just being okay with it.
