Victor had woken up early, definitely embarrassed about finding his underwear as sticky and gross as it had been when he had passed out the night before. He was trying to take his mind off the whole thing, feeling gross for having thought about his guest in that way.
He had decided to make breakfast for both of them, though. It wasn't entirely clear to him why he was cooking for Alex. Maybe he felt guilty about the direction his mind had gone the night before?
Alex didn't know about that, though, so he thought it was more likely that he was just a good host. Yeah, that was definitely it. Good host sounded more likely.Alex lay awake, he was an insomniac and especially didn't sleep when he was in places he did not know. He heard when Victor stirred, slowly he decided to creep out of his cave to watch his host.
Everyone likes eggs and bacon, right? Victor thought so, at least. It wasn't too much work to make either, so it wouldn't seem like he was trying too hard either. And he definitely wasn't - he didn't particularly care about Alex. He just didn't want the guy to starve while in his care. That was all.
Alex went to where he heard Victor, he just stood there for a moment. He watched him, not saying anything at first. Then he realized it was pronounced creepy, "Good morning."
He spoke softly as he fully walked in the room.
Victor turned quickly, not having heard him enter. His cheeks warmed up slightly as he was pulled out of his thoughts that were way too related to Alex for his comfort.
"Morning. You hungry? I'm making eggs," he stated, placing the pan on the stove. "And coffee.""I will have some eggs thank you, no coffee though," Alex guessed he had to eat, he couldn't just turn his nose at food all the time. It would be disrespectful to his host. He slowly sat at the table.
"Alright," Victor said, feeling a bit excited about cooking for him. Probably the ghost of his grandmother again. She was always so happy to cook for anyone coming over despite their tight budget. There was always enough to make it special for the guest.
He started by frying up the bacon, though, not really bothering to ask if he wanted some. What kind of weirdo ate eggs without bacon anyway?Alex stayed silent, he wasn't sure how to make small talk that well. At least in this more domestic setting. He was only used to Eddy, and Victor was far from Eddy. He looked around slightly then settled for watching.
Victor could feel Alex' eyes on him, and it made him nervous. Why it made him nervous, he couldn't tell, but it was a good kind of nervous. The kind that made you a bit giddy, so he wasn't too worried about getting stabbed in the back or anything. He just watched the bacon in the pan, moving them around a bit to get them evenly fried.
Alex wondered when Eddy would be coming over that day. He wanted to see him, it would make this far less awkward. Sure, he typically watched a lot of people but he also killed a lot of people. Which was not normal. Thus this was weird.
"Do you prefer sunny eggs, or do you want the yolk fried as well?" Victor asked, not turning to look at him. He didn't like the silence much. Besides, he was curious about his guest.
"I like sunny, a runny yolk is nice," Alex tried to add a bit to it but he had nothing really to say about eggs. He ate a lot of them with rice. Stirring the yolk in the rice was always a great thing. He saw no rice though so there wasn't much to say. Eggs were good and he liked the yolk, that was it.
"Couldn't agree more," Victor said, offering the same bit of information about himself back to Alex. "I like wiping it up with the bacon."
"I usually stir it in with rice or use toast to soak it up," Alex guessed he should try to continue the conversation although he wasn't interested in it. He knew how to be nice for the most part, it didn't mean he was invested though.
