I have made the decision to continue Purr everyone! Hope you like it. Also fair warning, it is definitely NOT one of my better works because it was written over several days. ^^"

Zeldris couldn't hide the shock on his face as he saw Meliodas activate his mark. He had always hoped the two would meet again, maybe sometime after they found a way to bring back the goddesses, however not like this. Not seeing his brother taken over by the darkness.

He just hoped his friend wouldn't put up much fight, but he supposed it was a foolish wish as the boy wasn't who he used to be.

He noticed how the blond mainly dodged, however he didn't allow himself to think anything of it as he knew once someone was turned they lost emotion and used the memories they once had against former allies to trick and kill them.

That's why so many goddesses had been slaughtered during the war, and that's why Zeldris knew he couldn't allow himself to trust the other.

So feeling a deep ache in his heart, the goddess forced himself to stop the voice in his head begging him not to hurt his brother, and did what he had to. After all... he was a leader now whether he liked it or not. He had other people to consider and couldn't afford to let his own feelings get in the way. Although that didn't make it easy for the warrior.

I can't believe that after so many years... out reunion will be like this. I can't even imagine how much you've suffered in the years you've been like this. I...I always prided myself in protecting you... As being your big brother of sorts after Estarossa was lost. And yet here we are... you trapped as a demon and me having to kill you because of it... I couldn't save you from this fate and now I even have to be the one that'll cause your demise... I'm so sorry Mel.. please forgive me in the afterlife.

Holding back tears, the goddess made his attacks stronger, faster, and much more potent in hopes of making this quick and painless for his friend. However as he should have known, his former ally had the same agility and skill as before and dodged with ease, never once attacking although Zeldris didn't give him much chance.

Finally hitting the boy in the leg and making him fall, Zeldris winced at seeing the pain he inflicted upon the other and held up his hand quickly, not allowing himself to change his mind as he knew this would be his only opportunity to strike.

Charging up as much power as he could, Zeldris prepared to fire and ignored the sad and reserved look in Meliodas's eyes as he knew it was another trick.

"Goodbye... old friend."

Thinking the light was the power he had built up in his hands, Zeldris was very shocked to see as the light faded, that he was now transported into a time long ago, with him and Meliodas training and playing, not a care in the world.

"W-What is this? I don't understand."

Seeing the people that had followed Meliodas out of the tavern there as well, most looking just as confused, Zeldris noticed one with a blank stare that he was certain had caused this.

"You! What have you done? Where are we!?"

"We are inside of the Meliodas's mind. I heard in your thoughts that you were conflicted about fighting the captain even though you did so anyway. Your conflicting emotions intrigue me, as well as your false information of the Captain. Therefore I want to see in his memories as well as show you, what really happened that day."
