#4 Why Did You Leave?

First grade

Elizabeth was very nervous about her first day of first grade. After all, she was told that this was the school for big girls, so she had to be extra careful to make sure she paid attention in class. After all, she didn't want to seem like a little kid. She was older now! She had to play the part. Even though it was a big responsibility, and little butterflies were fluttering in her stomach, a wide smile was on her face as excitement filled her at knowing she would get to make new friends.

Walking inside, she made sure to pay attention so she could find her class and take her seat on time. After all, big girls were never late.

Going into the homey little room, she took her seat at the desk the teacher had assigned her.

I've never had a desk before! So cool!

She decided to spend the first few minutes getting out the books and supplies her mommy had bought her, she wanted to make sure she had all of her supplies ready for when the teacher needed her to use it.

About half way through her pencil sorting, (between color and size) she heard the door open once again and reveal a little boy with messy blond hair and stunning green eyes that shown with both nervousness and the same excitement that she had.

Due to this place being new to her, she didn't know any of the other students and was quite shy when he took a seat next to her.

Trying her best to go back to her previous task, she soon felt a tap on her shoulder, thwarting her previous plans.

"Um... hey, you dropped this."

He held out a blue colored pencil and gently set it back in her hand.

"Um.. t-thanks..."

"My name's Meliodas! What about you?"

"E-Elizabeth.. Elizabeth Liones."

Third grade

"Ellie! You're back from summer break! Where did you and your family go this year?"

"Oh, just to Disney for a few days. It isn't that big a deal."

"I've always wanted to travel. You're lucky your parents go to so many different places, I never get to leave town."

"Maybe we'll take you with us next time! It would be way more fun if you were there."

"That would be awesome! But.. to be honest I don't care where we go, anywhere would be fun with you with me."

She blushed as he sent her his infamous grin, completely oblivious to her heart that painfully throbbed in her chest.

"W-Why do I feel so.. weird when I around him.."
