A very late Valentine story.
Elizabeth hadn't ever pictured herself in a relationship. With her future job and lack of interest in any of the men she had met in her realm, she hadn't ever expected a relationship to be a part of her life. And yet here she was, a year into a relationship that had her stomach doing flips every time she even thought of it.
She was currently on her way to meet her significant other now, and she felt excitement every time she thought about it. There was only one issue. Her significant other was a demon, while she was a member of the goddess race.
She never considered them on different levels, and was confident that Meliodas didn't either, however it meant they had to sneak around to see each other and spent a lot less time with each other than she wanted. Although- always an optimist- Elizabeth just viewed it as making the time they did have with each other, more special.
Which is why she had an evening all planned out. She had made food previously and was taking it with her in a little basket also carrying his favorite wine, a blanket, and a small vase of flowers that were hanging out delicately so the wouldn't be squished among the other items.
She was incredibly excited for their romantic evening, but she also had another reason for doing this up her sleeve. Not only was it to celebrate the human holiday Valentines Day, but it was also a way to do something she had been planning for awhile.
She had heard a few of her friends did something like this and thought the results were hilarious, therefore she wanted to see if she could get the same results even though there was a romantic setting proving the reaction false.
She and her lover had always called each other nicknames. Maybe not the cute mushy pet names that other couples have, but they rarely called each other by name unless it was because one was upset or the circumstances were dire. Therefore she planned to call her boyfriend by his full name during the whole evening to see if he would react.
Part of her didn't expect much of a reaction at all since he didn't seem to notice these things, but she still wanted to try. Besides, if it didn't work, the worst that would happen is that she wouldn't get a reaction and they would enjoy a romantic evening, this was just meant for an extralaugh.
She arrived shortly after her thoughts washed away her nervousness and began to spring into action so everything would be set up before he arrived. A task she barely managed to do before he arrived ten minutes later with a confused- but intrigued- expression.
"What's all this? Did I forget some sort of holiday? It isn't our anniversary, surely we weren't apart that long."
She giggled, enjoying him being caught off guard.
"No love, it's not our anniversary. There's a human tradition called Valentines Day that I thought we could celebrate. It's about couples and spending time with the ones you love."
He seemed a little shocked by this and she could of sworn she saw him blush, but he quickly recovered before sitting across from her, looking at the food she had made.
"My favorite. You remembered.."
"Of course I did. What kind of girlfriend would I be if I didn't remember your favorite things?"
She watched as he stared at her in awe, feeling her stomach do flips as his gaze seemed to look through her.
"Ellie this is.. You are... I... don't know what to say."
"Then don't say anything. Just eat, we have all night to spend together before we have to go back. There will be plenty of time for talking, however the food will only stay warm for awhile in this weather."

FanfictionA bunch of oneshots that I've been wanting to do! They will not have any relation to one another unless the story is a 2-5 part story. The stories will also have a possibility of becoming books later on if people enjoy the story or I feel like there...
