Zeldris was shocked when he had heard those words leave Meliodas's lips. He has decided to check on the blond after how off he seemed, but he hadn't expected that. His brother had sounded like he was crying, and then he uttered one, softly spoken, broken, sentence.
"I'm not fine.... am I?"
What did he mean by that? Was he sick? Was there something going on? Was he having issues with Elizabeth?
However regardless of these pressing questions raging on in his mind, he didn't confront the other. Their relationship was light. They talked about silly things or did stupid challenges like who was better, Gelda or Elizabeth. He had no idea how to confront the other about something so serious. So without a word, he went back to his seat and ignored the feeling in his gut telling him he should've talked to his brother about it.
_________________________________________Two days had passed and Zeldris had successfully forgotten about the event, and it seemed like Meliodas had too. His smiles were bright and he didn't seem so stuck in his head. Occasionally his eyes would dim or his smile would fall, but it was rare and he always assured anyone that asked that he was fine.
Besides, if he truly needed to talk he'd go to someone, right?
Kissing his wife as she prepared to go shopping with Elaine, Elizabeth, and Diane, he gave her the emergency bag they had incase something went wrong with the baby before preparing to say final goodbyes. Only for her to say something that stuck with him slightly.
"It may just be me looking too far into it... but is it just me, or has your brother seemed a bit off lately? Elizabeth says that the two are doing great so I know there isn't a problem there, but do you think he's going through something?"
He paused, his mind going back to the thing he had suppressed.
"I'm sure he's fine Gelda. He would talk if something was truly bothering him."
"Are you sure about that? If there's one thing I know about him, it's that you both share the trait of not mentioning when you're hurt or bothered. If something's wrong, he won't say something until it's absolutely necessary."
Zeldris grew quiet at that. Realizing how right Gelda was.
Kissing her goodbye, he watched as the girls left for the shops while he let his mind ponder his wife's words.
Ugh, I need to stop thinking about this. I'm sure everything is fine. He's been acting better since then and I don't think anything wrong. Even if there is, what the hell would I do about it? We aren't exactly terribly close...
Sighing, he decided to get a drink, shocked to see Meliodas already there pouring one for himself.
"Hey Zeldris! Need a drink? Ya seem kinda down about the Mrs being gone."
He didn't say anything about the blond's comment since the real reason he was needing a drink was kind of different.
Taking the cup the other passed to him, the ravenette gave a soft thanks before drinking it. Something he found pleasantly surprising when it reached his tastebuds.
Of course he wasn't shocked when he noticed that the blond had already drank three glasses while he simply savored the one.
Looking down at the purplish red liquid, he made a simple comment that didn't have the reaction he was expecting.

Oneshots!
FanfictionA bunch of oneshots that I've been wanting to do! They will not have any relation to one another unless the story is a 2-5 part story. The stories will also have a possibility of becoming books later on if people enjoy the story or I feel like there...
