#60 Corruption.

This isn't one of my greatest but I didn't have much time to write is its VERY rushed. However regardless I hope you like it and part 2 will be coming soon. :)

"Sooo... let me get this straight. There's a weapon that can not only be used to start wars with a single button, but it can mind control someone into doing anything the user wants?"

"That is correct. Also exactly why I need you, the Seven Deadly Sins, to retrieve it before it gets into the wrong hands."

That was a lot easier said then done. Currently standing in the throne room of Liones's ruler was the Seven Deadly Sins. The most trusted and the most powerful group that Liones had to offer. Which meant they were also the only hope to retrieve this powerful relic discovered shortly after the Ten Commandments were released.

But with the same Ten Commandments still on the loose, how were they supposed to try to look for this item and also protect the villages from the demon's attacks?

"I understand this is a very large favor I'm asking of you all, however if this item isn't recovered, I fear that if it does indeed fall into the wrong hands.... there will be nothing left to protect from the Ten Commandments..."

The different sins talked among themselves. Some trying to work out how to protect the towns and find this item, others trying to think of where to look first, and finally, Meliodas who was silent in thought as he kept whatever was on his mind close to the chest. That is until finally he silenced the others and decided to speak.

"Our best bet is to split up. I'll go look for the item while you all protect the towns."

"Captain, you can't be serious! You're our leader, we need your guidance. Besides, it would be incredibly dangerous to go alone. What would we all do if something happens to you? Liones would be lost!"

"King's right. Besides, how would we be able to fight the Ten Commandments without you?"

"They've been pretty quiet lately and if they see I'm not with you they'll probably be deterred from doing anything since it'll seem like we're planning a trap. After all, you're right about it being crazy for the captain to separate from his team on such a stressful mission. However I'm the only one that can do this."

"But why? Why couldn't one of us go? Like me or Ban or King?"

Meliodas gave a surprisingly soft smile at Diane as he responded.

"Cause I need you all to protect the towns! Think about it, Escanor is the strongest and also probably the only one that can fight against Estarossa. Ban is immortal even if they can still steal his soul, which gives him an advantage and also makes him a good shield who can take the damage while others attack. King is really strong with his magic and can use Chastifol to stall for quite awhile while the others attack, and him working with you Diane would be a pretty strong team.

Not to mention, Gowther can get inside their heads while Merlin has a bunch of magic and knowledge we need to use to our advantage. All of you need each other to work against them, I'm the only one who's expendable right now."

"But you're the strongest one we have other then Escanor! We need you! Besides, your Lost Vayne ability gives us an advantage!"

"It cuts my power in half each time and they're too well trained to get confused as to which one is real. Besides, I know you guys will do fine without me. I'll be back in three days and Gowther will be able to contact me if something bad happens. If I find the item in those three days, great! If not, we'll make a new plan, kay?"
