I don't own SDS or Ever After High. Don't forget the symbol if you like this book idea and want it to be published next. Also the outfit above is what he's wearing because it looks cool and is Kirito's jacket. :P
The day started as most others for Meliodas, even if it was supposed to signify a huge new chapter in his life. Today was his second year of Liones High.
This wouldn't mean much for most schools, simply being the next year of a student's studies before they graduated two years later. However for the school he went to, this meant that he would be signing the book of fate. The book that would seal the very future that made everyone avoid him.
Although, being the son of the demon king himself.. he supposed he couldn't blame people for avoiding him. Sighing as he continued his trek to the large school building in front of him, he braced himself for the freak-out to come, hoping it would at the very least be over quickly.
He was wrong.
As soon as the doors swung open and people caught sight of who had entered, everyone scattered, some yelling, some fainting, others just quietly running away in fear. It used to bother him, and still did some, however he already knew that there was nothing he could do to make them understand he wasn't as bad as they thought. After all, he was supposed to be bad. And would be when he signed the book and inherited his full magic.
Until then though, he would just sit alone at lunch and accept the others glares and insults. Something he did just as intended. Well... until Elizabeth walked in.
Her mother was the Supreme Diety, not only the most powerful goddess ever known, she was also the one that freed the country of his father, the demon king. She was beloved by all and naturally, so was her daughter.
The two's fates had been intertwined from the moment they had been born, however it felt so much more real now knowing that soon, the fate connecting them would come to pass and he would spend the rest of his days locked away.
Ignoring the chattering and loud praises of her entry, he went back to eating his- now cold- food, only to be interrupted once more by the very girl on his mind sitting next to him. Something that many of the other students vocally disapproved.
"Princess what are you doing!"
"He's a monster! Why would you sit next to something like him!?"
"You mustn't let him contaminate your light!"
Waving off their comments with the grace and poise she was known for, she took her seat while others chatted among themselves about it.
What is she doing? We rarely talk unless it's because she's discussing our future.
"Hello."
He looked up in shock at seeing she was apparently talking to him.
"Um... h-hello?"
"How rude!"
"Look at him, not even addressing her properly!"
"Freak.."
"Monster.."
"Disgrace..."
He felt his face grow hot from both anger and embarrassment as he began to panic about what they were saying. Had he addressed her wrong? He didn't mean to be rude, it just wasn't often people talked to him unless the teachers forced them.
"U-Um.. I-I mean, hello... your highness?"
"Gasp! Now he's mocking her!"
"The nerve!"
He didn't mean it like that! Oh no, what if she took it the wrong way? However regardless of his internal panic, she simply smiled softly and held out her hand.
"Dont worry about honorifics Meliodas, after all, it is unbecoming of you considering who you are to be. I simply wanted to thank you."
"T-Thank me? For what?"
"Well for being who you are of course."
That threw him off.
"What-"
"If it weren't for you being the villian that you are destined to be, I wouldn't be the hero I am destined to be. Without you my story would be incomplete, therefore I want to thank you for what you are going to do."
"Wow, how kind of her."
"Thanking a creature like him, it truly shows how merciful she is!"
"Our future queen is so wonderful!"
Many praises rang out, but Meliodas didn't acknowledge any of them over the blood rushing through his ears.
"You're.. thanking me for being a monster? So you can get your happily ever after?"
There was anger in his voice although well concealed, however she paid no mind, instead taking his words a different way.
"Oh I know it must be a shock, but you truly deserve it. I can't even fathom doing the things you will, however even someone like you will do some good for others. You deserve recognition for that. Anyway, no need to thank me. I must be off to my royal training. Enjoy your meal. I'll see you at the ceremony this evening. Goodbye."
Unable to respond because of the lump in his throat, he simply nodded and waved her off before heading to his own class, not feeling hungry anymore.
The day passed in a blurr as her words rung through his head again and again. However the mixed emotions and thoughts were put to a halt by the realization that class was over and it was time to start preparing for the ceremony. Many family members would be there to see their children or younger siblings sign their story just as the previous ones had done, however Meliodas wouldn't have anyone come.
His father was trapped and his siblings weren't welcome in the school. Not that they would even want to anyway. One left the others when Meliodas was only eight and the other had become just as twisted as their father when he sign the book, even though he had been a kind man previously. That's why Meliodas was so terrified of the ceremony.
He didn't want to become like that, he didn't want to lose himself. Although... if he was supposed to be evil, then would he be losing himself or discovering who he was supposed to be? After all, all of his life he had been told by his teachers and family that he was wrong in the way he acted and thought, so... would the ceremony fix him?
Or break him entirely..
Unable to dwell further due to one of the teachers walking in, he took a deep breath before following her out to the stage that would seal not only his fate, but many others...
Hope this was okay. I wrote it as I went.

Oneshots!
FanficA bunch of oneshots that I've been wanting to do! They will not have any relation to one another unless the story is a 2-5 part story. The stories will also have a possibility of becoming books later on if people enjoy the story or I feel like there...
