"I'M GONNA KILL MERLIN FOR THIS!!!!!!"

The cry rang out through the woods as a very pissed off Meliodas was holding a small child in his hands. And not just any child... a child that Merlin had found and decided to use for an experiment.

"Poor thing.. you must be so scared."

In reply the child just whimpered, confirming the other's suspicion.

"You don't look that old.. maaaaybeee.... six months? A year?"

The baby just cooed and grabbed onto the blond's nose.

"Well whatever age you are, you're adorable. Let's get you cleaned up, than we can deal with the big bad Merlin. Sound good?"

The child just ignored him, making itself busy by playing with the demon's tie, which earned the little one a chuckle from the owner of said tie.

Carefully readjusting the baby without startling it, he walked slowly to the tavern. Making sure the infant was okay with the sudden movement.

"There we go, home sweet home. Now... what are we gonna get you to eat? You are luckily old enough to eat solids.. but I don't think we have anything soft enough for you. Well, we'll worry about that after we get you in the bath. Kay?"

He didn't know why he was talking to the little tot. Especially considering the fact that he was always completely ignored, but he supposed it was because he thought somewhere in the back of his mind that the little one liked being filled in on what was going on.

"Alright. Let's get you cleaned up."

Two hours later, he had cleaned the child, found a blanket to wrap said child in since they didn't have clothes for it, found out that the "it" was a her, and had successfully calmed the baby down after two tantrums that were loud enough to give him a very bad headache. Which brought them to now, at the market, trying to find baby things.

What am I doing? I don't know what a baby needs! Why did the sins have to go out of town now of all times? I mean, could they at least waited until tomorrow to go to the fairy king's forest for supplies? Oh well, the little one needs food and clothes and I'm the only one here other than Merlin to supply the poor baby with such things.

Bouncing the girl in his arms to keep her calm, he continued looking through the aisles of carts for one that had any sort of baby product or material.

Man.. I wish King were here right now. He can sow, and we have plenty of fabric back at the tavern. That would be so much easier..

Startled from his thoughts by a little tap on his shoulder, he looked behind him to see a women a little older (looking, he is MUCH older) than him with a baby around the same size as his.

"Um, I'm sorry to bother you, but you look a little lost. There's a cart down over by the fruit stand that sells baby supplies. Just thought I would let you know."

He thanked her gratefully and went down that way, making sure to hurry since the child was currently starting to get a little fussy.

"Shhh.. it's okay little one. We'll get you some nice clothes and food soon. Okay?"

He spoke in a soft voice that for some reason came naturally to him, and finished the trip to his destination.

"Ello Sir! Wha can I do for ya! (Hello sir! What can I do for you?)."

He noticed the boy's thick accent and quickly placed him as from the town of Willowbrook, a little area next to where Danafor used to be. (I'm pretty sure that's a real place but I was too lazy to come up with a different name so for this story it's just a random place.)

"Oh um.. I kinda need some baby stuff for the little one. Like, food and clothes and things like that. Do you have anything?"

He gave a warm smile at the small bundle in Meliodas's arms.

"O' course I do. Jus point ou anythin ya need."

He smiled fondly at the man and quickly made his purchase, not wanting to be in public for the inevitable meltdown the baby was about to have.

Using his speed to head inside, the baby blinked a few times, confused as to why they were once in town and then suddenly in the tavern. Chuckling at the child's cuteness, he quickly put the little dress he had bought for the baby on the still fussy child, and pulled out the food, to which the child seemed very please about.

"Whelp. Hope you like apple sauce and mash potatoes. Because that's pretty much all you're eating for the next year or so."

He gave a fond smile at the little one happily eating away along with his help. He had never considered being a parent, especially with the way he grew up, but... seeing this little ball of joy, he already knew at this moment that he was one now.

"Ella. That fits you pretty well, huh little one?"

She cooed in response, reaching out for his hand with her tiny one, wrapping her small hand around his finger.

Yep. He was already convinced. He was a dad now, and this little one... his little one.. was going to be spoiled beyond believe as long as he was around.

Sorry this is shorter. Hope you like the story, and let me know if you want me to continue! Two comments and I will continue this.
