"Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad..."

He buried himself further into the safe warmth next to him to avoid the sound trying to rouse the blond from his slumber.

"Daaaaadddyyyyyy......."

This time the other one spoke, making the demon groan as sleep began to allude him and he was left trying to ignore the two creatures calling for his attention.

"Meliodas~ Dear, I think the children have a suprise for you~"

The only response he gave was to burrow further against the woman he was cuddling and who had spoken in such a comforting voice to get him up.

"Mommy! He won't get up! We worked so hard on this too.."

Meliodas vaguely heard the chatter between the one child and his sweet wife, but he was too tired to care what it was since he knew that whatever it was troubling the children, Elizabeth was awake and therefore could take care of it.

However what he didn't realize, was that this particular thing had something to do specifically with him.

"The children have something for you sweetheart. Won't you look? Just for a second?"

His wife spoke again as she started running her fingers through his hair to get him up, something that worked as he decided to take a look at whatever had gotten the kids up at six in the morning.

Only to be surprised with a cup of ale and pancakes that had syrup spell out "Happy Father's Day."

"What's all this for kiddos? Did you plan this Ellie?"

"Nope. This was all their idea, I just helped with the cooking. In fact, they came up with all of the activities planned for today."

"Activities?"

Meliodas's attention was caught, previous sleepiness forgotten as the adorable gesture from his very proud ten year olds made his hearts melt.

"Mhm! We planned a lot of things for us to do together today."

"Oh really?"

The blond was shocked in a pleasant way at hearing those words and seeing the excitement in his children's eyes. The family had never celebrated Father's Day in the past due to his unhappy memories of his own father and his lack of feeling a need for it when all he wanted was to just spend time with his family.

But seeing the excited looks his children gave and hearing how hard they had clearly worked on this, the demon felt a happy warmth fill him as a small smile made it onto his face.

Letting his little ones drag him out of bed, he ran along with them to the first activity. The breakfast already forgotten as their anxiousness to start made their patience wear even thinner then normal for two hyper ten year olds.

Stopping in a surprisingly clean kitchen, there was a string that the twins held out that Meliodas assumed he was supposed to follow.

Feeling his curiosity mix with the warmth of seeing how excited his kids were to do all of this, he obediently followed the string as a few things were found along the way.

A card with little pictures drawn by his kids of him and his family doing various things; playing, sword fighting, eating, etc.

A small bottle of Meliodas's favorite ale that Elizabeth said the kids had spent their own money on while she of course made the purchase.

And finally the sweetest gift he had seen so far and what was at the end of the string. A little table full of different things the kids had put on there to symbolize what they loved about their dad, or loved doing with their dad.
