The group was supposed to leave an hour ago. After all, it was already quite late and the kids needed to be in bed by midnight according to Elizabeth. However just like Meliodas's lovely wife, his two kiddos were the biggest reasons for him to be late in his life.

Whether forgetting their hats, or somehow managing to put on every piece of clothing backwards; they always were faithful in taking too long while he sat around impatiently.

"Okay! We're ready!"

He watched as the two joined him and nearly bust out laughing as soon as their costumes set in.

Little Kiran was wearing a silver wig, little angel wings, and a shirt and skirt he had to have stolen from his sister.

Oh and that same sister wasn't much better. She had her hair hidden by a wig that matched his own style and had stolen one of his uniforms from the tavern.

"Honey! Get in here now!"

He called for Elizabeth touching up on her own costume while desperately trying not to laugh.

"Yes swee- Oh..."

She walked in and saw the two while several emotions passed over her stunning features.

"S-So you two look- great! But um... w-why are you dressed like mommy and daddy today for Halloween?"

"Cause mommy is SO scary!"

Meliodas completely lost it at that. He started belly laughing while Elizabeth just stood there.

"Why do you think mommy is scary?"

"Cause you take away the cookies if we're bad! We LOVE cookies mommy!"

"Pffft- I-I love that that is the reason you give for us being scary sweetie! Hahahaha!!!"

He said that to his mini me in-between laughs while Elizabeth tried hard not to join.

"W-Well alright little ones. Why don't we um... why don't we get going?"

She chuckled as the two kids agreed and rushed ahead of their parents.

"They dressed up like us for Halloween, and they did it because we take away cookies and they find you scary. Not me, previous demon prince, monster, and killer, but their dear mother who's a literal being of purity. I think that this might be the most memorable Halloween yet! This is hilarious!"

"Well I'm glad you're entertained, although I'm slightly bummed that I'm seen as the scary one.."

"Oh Ellie, it's okay. We both know it's for very pure reasons, and in their defense, wait until your time of the month and they aren't too far off. You are incredibly scary when you-"

He was cut off by a glare and chuckled nervously.

"Hehehehe... did I say scary? I meant- beautiful! You are so beautiful at that and every other time of the months! Hehe... I love you."

He kissed her to hopefully quell her rage and succeeded as she laughed at his reaction.

"You, Meliodas, former leader of the ten Commandments, most feared demon in the realm, current king of Liones, are scared of my glare?"

"Well I think I'm more scared of getting grounded."

"Whaaat!? Mommy can ground you too daddy?"

He jumped as he hadn't realized his little girl was listening. Although much too young to understand any of this with her five years of life.

"In a way little one, in a horrible, horrible way."

"Your daddy is being dramatic. I just make him sleep on the couch when he gets grounded."

"Why would you be mad about that Daddy? The couch is so comfy!"

"I'll.... tell you when you're older."

"Okay!"

She ran off to join her brother at the first house while he smiled.

"How did those two precious creatures come from us? I mean, after all of the crap we've done, we still ended up with those little pure beans."

"Well of course they got that from me."

"Haha, probably. I'll never forget when that one version of you started crying at a dead beetle. Then proceeded to make a funeral for it and invite everyone in the village."

"Hey! Don't judge!"

"Oh so you don't see Kirstan doing that?"

"Well.. yes, but YOU nearly cried when Hawke the pig died, so I think we're even!"

"Yeah right! As if I'd ever cry over that pig."

"He'd probably kill you right now if he knew you said that!"

"Eh, not if I offered him scraps."

The conversation was casual with the air of the night peaceful as the couple held hands and watched their kids compare candy bags.

"We really have a good life... don't we Ellie?"

"Absolutely. To be honest, even just having tonight alone made up for what we had to experience to get here, don't you agree."

"Yeah love, I do."

Short and not very good, but there is finally an update! I got sick and then had a lot to catch up on from being sick, so sorry for the hiatus. :(
