Zeldris had only one thought on his mind. Find a way to save his brother. This kept him on track, but also prohibited proper logic to come in over the emotions running through him. Which is why he was currently arguing with the other commandments who refused to believe his words.

"I'm telling you as your leader, that he is under the control of that witch!"

"How can we believe that!? He betrayed us, left us for that goddess, and then proceeded to lock us away! How can we believe our leader, the strongest one of us, managed to succumb so deeply to her magic that he would be willing to do that!?"

"Fraudrin is right. Zeldris, you know we all respected him deeply, however we have to accept that he isn't with us anymore. He chose to be with her instead of us, and now he is paying for it. Besides, that goddess didn't have magic that could do that in the first place."

"How do you know that?! The only one who ever faced her in combat was Meliodas, maybe the fight was when she used it on him!"

"Zeldris-"

"No! Listen, even if I'm wrong- which I'm not- wouldn't it be better to at least know? And if I'm right... we'll have our captain back."

They were all silent, they truly did want to believe him. It had hurt each of them knowing that their captian left without a care for any of them.. but what if it was a trap? What if he was wrong and they lost against the Seven Deadly Sins because of Meliodas's trickery?

"Very well.. I can't speak for the others, but I'll help you. Worst case senerio it's a trap and we have to fight him. I say the cost is worth it."

He smiled at Galand, happy to have his support.

"I'll help too. We may not have been terribly close, but I used to consider him a good ally."

"Same here, he was a dear friend of mine, I won't give up without a fight."

One by one they all agreed, and soon they were charging towards the tavern containing the Seven Deadly Sins.. and their dear captain.

Meliodas knew they were close, he could sense their magic. However for some reason instead of the numbness he felt towards them, he felt.. sad. He just didn't know why he was feeling that way towards them.

He headed outside to meet them and felt the feeling grow a bit more when they came into view, but he ignored it. Instead convincing himself it was just worry for the townsfolk who might get stuck in the crossfire.. that was all.

"Meliodas.. We don't have to fight. Just put down your weapons and we'll put down ours. We simply want to talk."

He was confused by this, especially when there wasn't any ill will in any of their eyes or postures. They even held their weapons out in front of them, showing they wouldn't fight.

After a few minutes he started to lower his weapon as well. After all, why cause unnecessary bloodshed when they were willing to stop it? But his head began to throb and there was a voice chanting in his mind that they were trying to trick him, that he needed to attack before they did. So he listened.

He threw his sword at the nearest one, Monspeet, and began attacking the others with it once he teleported to where it was.

"Damn it! Stop! We don't want to fight you Meliodas!"

"Like I would believe that. Do you really think I'd be stupid enough to fall for a trick like that? Well if you think I'm that naive then you have another thing coming!"
