The man sped down the road like a maniac when he got the news, unaware of the several road laws he had broken or the other very pissed off people he was driving by. He only had one goal and one destination and by the gods he would get there dammit.

He had only listened to the first message before getting his keys, his car, and then driving as fast as he could. All the while kicking himself in the ass over the fact that he had ignored the messages for a week due to the rocky relationship he had with the others and over the cause of the drift in the first place.

Oh how just a little change of perspective can change even the most solid view point...

Knowing the drive was still far regardless of the speed, the man cursed under his breath when he saw that that same speed had caused the police to flash their lights at him to pull over.

Please Meliodas... please be okay by the time I get there. I need to see that you're okay....

and I need to say I'm sorry to you for what happened between us.

Zeldris was glad to see that after the first week of physical therapy, Meliodas was starting to walk by himself a little. Of course the ravenette was always willing to help and the blond still needed it quite frequently, but he could make small trips by himself even if he had to go slow.

The teen was also very happy to see his brother start to go back to how he used to be. He had seemed a little shy at first, expectedly so since to him Zeldris was a stranger, however now he was starting to joke around a bit more and would occasionally make another terrible pun of his.

Of course still no response from him, but Zeldris had gone beyond the phases of shock and disappointment and now had reached acceptance that the other family member of his really was a piece of shit who's pride he valued more than his...

Zeldris shook his head of the thoughts, knowing he'd only get pissed off about it all over again and wanted to prevent that.

Continuing the preparation of food for his brother who was sitting out on the couch watching an old show he had liked, Zeldris found himself unable to move when he heard the doorbell chime due to the sticky fruit juice all over his hands. So planning to just ignore it for now as he wasn't expecting company anyway, the teen nearly dropped everything in shock when he heard an unexpected voice frantically mention Meliodas's name.

It... can't be. It's really him... he's really here. Why is he here!? He didn't even have the balls to answer when I told him- oh no... Mel!

Lunch forgotten, he ran out there quickly to see a stunned man and a confused brother who didn't recognize the other. Something that twinged at Zeldris's heart even if he hated the asshole.

"W-What.. do you mean 'do I know you'? Don't you recognize me Meliodas? S-Surely you couldn't have forgotten that fast."

There was so much fear and hurt in his voice, enough so that even Meliodas himself could hear it. Causing the blond to instantly try to make the "stranger" feel better.

"I-I'm sorry, I've been having trouble with my memory after the accident that happened. I-I'm sure I'll remember you eventually though, you do look slightly familiar."

The anger that had made way for pity came back full fledged as Meliodas apologized to the man for hurting his feelings when anything, he should've apologized to Zeldris's brother. He had no right to make Mel feel guilty!
