#76 Mpreg MelBan.

So this will not have a lemon because I know some of my viewers are on the younger side, however there will be some suggestion.

Ban was starting to get a little worried. It had started with the occasional jacket disappearing, then sheets to change out the bed. Both things he didn't worry about too much, but when Meliodas disappeared three weeks after this had started with no one knowing where he had gone and no note left behind, that was the final straw.

Especially when Meliodas's heat had recently happened.

It's just how it sounds and is something all submissive demons go through, including male submissives. Another reason why they were so rare. They go through very painful cycle of fevers and pain with the demon half of them in control in order to seek out a mate with pheromones to lure them.

It worked. Very very well, and the two mated for several several hours before the heat died down. And at the time Ban had thought it had gone well. The two made sure that neither got hurt and Meliodas got cuddly and started purring after it was over which was usually a good sign. So what happened?

The blond was nowhere to be found now, and because of it Ban was getting worried it had something to do with said heat.

This worry is what fueled him to start searching when two days passed, leaving the others in charge before beginning his search.

Towns, shops, trees, hills, he looked everywhere for his love, no one knowing where the demon was and none of the empty spots being filled him.

This made his fear for the worst get much bigger as two days turned into three. What if something had happened to him? Meliodas was still weak after the heat even if his strength had slowly returned, and the captain had a lot of enemies! What if someone took advantage of him? What if he was scared and alone and needed his mate to save him but lost hope? What if he was being hurt?

Oh the anxiousness just kept growing and growing at every thought clawing their way through the immortal. That is until he was shaken by his thoughts by the sudden feeling of his mate nearby. Still such a new sensation as it only started after the mating.

Following the feeling until it led him to a cave, he immediately went inside and frantically looked for Meliodas, fearing for the worst.

Only to find something that made his brain short circuit.

Meliodas was there alright... surrounded by a bundle of all of the missing sheets and clothes that had mysteriously been disappearing. Although that wasn't even the most shocking part.

That title went to the moment the demon sensed him and immediately hissed.

Stepping back at the shock that went through him at hearing his lover literally hiss at him, Ban tried to figure out the situation slowly. Only for it to hit him like Hawke hit the two when they were making out in the tavern.

"A-Are you.... A-A-Are you really..."

He couldn't finish that sentence. The words "are you nesting?" eluded him as he knew very well the implications that followed. It would mean Meliodas was pregnant. His Meliodas was pregnant, with his kid.

Staggering a bit as he used the cold wall of the cave to keep himself was falling, Ban took several deep breaths and tried to think of the best way to approach the boy without startling him again. Surely after sensing his smell, the blond would calm down. Meliodas had said that demons were very dependent on their mate's smell after all.

So very carefully taking steps towards the other, he ignored the hisses and growls leaving the demon and just continued to take slow steps, avoiding a hit when he got too close and gently lowering his wrist enough for the other to sniff it.

It was such a cool moment when the blond recognized Ban's scent due to the immediate change that happened after, going from a very pissed off demon to a happy mate who began purring and pulled down the other for cuddles.

Obliging the request as he curled around the other clinging to him like a koala, the previous fear had died down a little to make way for excitement as he realized they were going to be parents... even if it was definitely new territory.

Ban had stayed there while Meliodas drifted off, smiling contently at the purrs leaving his mate and occasional stirr that led to him snuggling closer every time. However after an hour of just laying there, the blond awoke. Seeming much more lucid this time.

"B-Ban? What are you doing here?"

The voice was a mixture of groggy and nervous, probably already telling the other had figured everything out.

"Just trying to get used to the fact that we're gonna be parents... Why didn't you tell me, Mel?"

His voice wasn't harsh as he wasn't really mad, more or less hurt.

"I... didn't know how to tell you."

Sighing in slight frustration and exhaustion at how much he had worried he simply kissed Meli's head and held him closer.

"B-Ban..? You aren't.... mad?"

"Nope. I wish I had known at the very least that you were okay, but I understand this is a lot for you too. Not to mention, it's hard for you to open up about even small things, I should've expected this reaction."

He hadn't meant it to sound so harsh, but he was still worried dammit! Especially because this wasn't just about Meliodas, it was about their child now too. What if something had happened to them both and he hadn't been there to do anything?

"I'm... I'm sorry."

"It's alright. I just need you to understand that I'm not leaving you because of this or anything else. That was what you were worried about right? That I would leave because this isn't something humans can do?"

Emerald eyes blinked in shock at how spot on it was, but Mel should've seen the prediction coming. After all, Ban knew him better than anyone else.

He didn't speak, but nodded in reply.

"Well than there's nothing to worry about. This is new for sure, but we'll get through this like we've done for everything else. And we'll do it together. Kay?"

He kissed the blond's head again and the other purred and nodded once more. Snuggling down much more relaxed than before, slowly drifting off.

"I'm happy I'm having your kid... mate."

"Me too. They're gonna be a fighter like you Mel. I can tell."

Preparing would come later, for right now, the two were staying near each other. Knowing that when the time came for preparation, they would get through it just fine.
