Set in the universe of Kiran and Sky. They're both five. This is gonna be a mini series in Oneshots. (:

Meliodas was a bit nervous. Of course that was expected when dropping off his children for their first day of school. Especially when you're an overprotective parent who doesn't like the idea of your child being in an area where you can't constantly make sure they're okay.

However Elizabeth and him had made a promise to each other. They wouldn't spy or stress about their kids. They both knew the little ones would be fine and that the teachers were very capable of teaching and taking care of their children. Besides, it would be nice to get a break, right?

However his mind wasn't thinking about getting a break as his little ones got out of the car each with a backpack bigger then them strapped on their backs.

"Don't forget to be kind to others and friendly. Listen to the teacher and raise your hands when you want to talk or have a question too. Stick together too so you aren't as nervous."

He could see how worried Elizabeth was even though the kids were perfectly fine. Him sharing that feeling even though he did his best not to show it.

"Your mother's right. Be good and try not to get into trouble. I know you two are excited, but be mindful of the other kids, kay?"

"Okay daddy! Can we go inside now?"

He smiled at them. The two were twins- a surprise when they had come but a welcome one- and yet they looked nothing alike. Sky was quite clearly the one that took after her father. She had eyes like her mother but her hair and energetic personality was exactly like that of Meliodas's. While the other- Kiran- was quite the opposite.

He was very shy and timid, however also sweet and sensitive like his mother. The boy also had straight hair that was silver mixed with green eyes like his father. It was quite clear the two were their children.

"Alright, gimme a hug before you go inside, kay?"

They nodded as the two ran at Mel and hugged him tightly before doing the same to their mom.

"We love you!"

Elizabeth yelled the word as if it would be the last time she'd see them as she watched them run off.

Putting his hand on her shoulder, Meliodas gave her a soft smile that helped ease her worries.

"They'll be fine, love. Let's go home."

An hour had passed. One, tiny, hour. One hour compared to the seventy two thousand he had spent trying to break the curse him and the love of his life had been put under. One hour compared to the ten the same woman had been in excruciating pain for during labor that had nearly killed Meliodas from the fear of her not making it. One. tiny. hour.

And yet Meliodas couldn't stand it.

Telling Elizabeth he was going to get some things from the market, he left with a quick goodbye before heading in the opposite direction to the school where he planned to keep an eye in his kids.

It wasn't spying... it was protective watching to make sure they were okay. After all, what if they were being bullied or not getting along with the other kids? He wanted to make sure they were alright. So off he went.

Arriving shortly after as he used his wings to guide him, he landed nearby in a tree and watched as the kids were outside playing.

I feel like a creep right now..

The thought went away though as he saw his little ones running around outside and playing happily. It seemed like Kiran- despite his reserved nature- had found a group of friends that he was playing with. While Sky on the other hand was playing alone in the grass as she sharpened a mini stick. Probably why the others weren't approaching her.
